Remember how the JW's told us that the Bible agrees with science? Well right on the first page of the Bible we can see that it does not agree with science. Many have overlooked this. I know I did. And I was shocked when I read it. There it says that God separated the water with a VOID. Water above the void and water below the void. Some Bible versions call it a vault, a firmament or an expanse but it all means the same thing. To the water below the void, he gathered to its place so that dry land would appear in its midst- land and sea. He called the void HEAVEN. So according to the Bible's definition of Heaven, when you jump up into the air or jump off your roof you are briefly in heaven. The Bible says that angels and birds fly through midheaven. The book of Psalms mentions the water above heaven. The Bible says that when it rains that is God opening up the floodgates of Heaven-obviously to let some of that upper water rain down upon us. The Bible writers and the people of that time had no concept of the cosmos. They did not know that we were living upon a planet revolving around the Sun in a solar system. They had no concept of planets. To them the sun moon and stars were simply lights placed in the void by God. Genesis goes on to state that God created two great lights, one by day and one by night, and also the stars and he placed them IN THE VOID. It says he also created birds to fly across the void. With beliefs such as this it is no wonder that medieval paintings depict God and the angels sitting upon the clouds. It wasn't until the last few hundred years with the age of Discovery and the invention of powerful telescopes that we began to truly understand outer space and our relation to it. So when you go outside in a clear blue day and look up and see all that blue, keep in mind that the Bible writer thought that was an ocean of water up there above the sun moon stars birds and angels.

Grew up in working poor family, in the " project" when JWs came thru selling the WT & awake mags my dad would make up one or two bags of food for the women & kids, They came thru on Saturdays, all us kids wete outside playing or inside , cartoons blaring , the kids in tow w moms door to door. My dad would have them sit down for a meal as he was always making soup or a casserole. He'd speak of breaking bread.. send them on their way with the dimes for publications, bags of groceries,he'd have my mom drive them home w the kids, groceries. We felt so sorry for them. ok... big question here....how did they get such high production with the angel effects, camera work, and audio? if witnesses are supposed to go in service and not seek higher education, how did they find people that can do HIGH END video work? they HAD to outsource this. but they claim all of this is from inside the congregations. I grew up with not being able to use my computer for more than 1 hour a day (dad was an elder) . you can't learn CGI in one hour a day, let alone a whole course on it. You either go in service all week, or you dive DEEP into video and audio work. I would know, I'm an audio engineer now by trade, it took me YEARS to get where I am

The often-awkward New World Translation wordings sound doubly awkward when actors are tasked with pronouncing them. "No DECLARATION will be impossible for God" is surely a mistranslation; the underlying Hebrew idiom (carried over into Greek) means "no matter [or simply, nothing] will be impossible for God." To hear Mary speak of "sexual relations" is painfully over-explicit and sounds way too modern; in the actual Greek text she speaks of not "knowing" a man, using the standard Bible euphemism for intimate relations. They might rather translate "sleep with", the corresponding English euphemism for the same concept.

Great video! Had me laughing out loud! I do read real biblical scholars and I'm glad you picked out the Virgin myth, although it is more cut and dried than you explained. The word used merely means " a young woman/girl of marriageable age", not a virgin. The virgin nonesense came in a Greek translation (Septuagint). I was actually taken aback that the JWs still believe this nonsense. Another thing that hit me is the use of the name "Jehovah" for God, used in the film. Jews of the 1st centrury CE did not use the name. It was considered too holy to say. (We'll ignore for now that the name Jehovah is a much later invention incorporating the tetragramation YHWH and the vowels of Adonai i.e. Lord). This practice of not saying the name of God is beautifully lampooned in Monty Python's Life of Brian, in which a man is stoned to death for saying the word. So, JW inacuracy, again. Of course, no one mentions that the name Jesus (or Yeshua) means "saviour". Er... a bit on the nose there. And nowhere is it mentioned that "he will be called Immanuel", which is also in Matthew - which he is never called. Lol There's so much wrong with this film so far. And I'm glad you've brought up the questionable morals of an enforced pregnancy. (Or actually 2 of them.) Great video, Wally! Keep it coming, buddy! 🤣

I actually liked the JW movie. I'm going to create a channel for those who are not JWs anymore but like the meetings, the songs, the conventions, and the study program as it is set up. I would like to be with X JWs who enjoy this and would want to continue the program without the pressure of being inside the organization.
