I wanted to give an update because so many have reached out and have been nothing but kind and supportive. I was hesitant because I do not want any of my former Jehovah’s Witness “friends” knowing my business and you never know who looks at things on these kinds of public platforms. My surgery went great and I am cancer free! Thank you for all of your prayers. After my surgery, it was found that I only had pre-cancer in my uterus. I had a complete hysterectomy and I do not need any follow-up care. While my family and I are over the moon, I am struggling with the fact that a gynecologist and oncologist told me that I had cancer, before waiting for final pathology results. My family and I were a mess. But I am so happy for my future and my relationship with Christ is what really got me through it. Also, I found out who my true friends are ❤️🙏

Hi Tess, so glad you are cancer free and doing good. I left a controlling church group in about 1993, and some Witnesses showed up my doorstep. Then I started studying with them. To make a long story short, I was baptized and faded away. I am still dealing with them because I never disassociated myself and I was not disfellowshipped. I too found out about the UN, child abuse, stocks they own in Lockheed Martin, and Pfizer. This I feel like is the reason they wanted the witnesses to take the vaccine. There is a lot of money to be made there. Basically, the witnesses are slaves to the governing body. It's crazy how they can call the shots of what they teach and can change beliefs anytime they desire. I know they told us at the kingdom hall when there was "new light" to just accept it until you can believe it. They must really think we are stupid.

I can really relate to Tess. I live in the UK and I was a Jehovah’s Witness for over 30 years and a regular pioneer for 10 years. I left during the lockdown after the pushing of the experimental health product from the platform via the governing body. I just couldn’t go along with this and I woke up after starting to research. I discovered so much including the membership of the UN, the Australian Royal Commission, the occult connections, and the incredible lack of love of those in the organisation. I send lots of love to Tess and I am a true Christian now and I’m so glad that I know the truth, and the truth had set me free from the Watchtower.❤

I woke up a few years ago after reading both of Raymond Franz's books. I am familiar with the United Nations membership, but I'm surprised to read about the OCCULT. Could you point me to where I could get information regarding that? This is the first time I'm hearing of their connection with the OCCULT. I'm speechless.

@Smashingblouse2 ай бұрын
Can you explain the UN thing please? 🫶🏻
@RobbieJayOne2 ай бұрын
@@Smashingblouse Between 1992 and 2001, WBTS was associated with the UN as a Non-Governmental Organization. Historically, the JWs have criticized the League of Nations and the UN, referring to the UN as the Wild Beast in Revelation. Thus, having a relationship with the UN is considered hypocritical based on their beliefs. However, during 1992-2001, there was a softening of the JW stance towards the UN in articles published in Awake magazines. This change was due to the need for NGOs to promote the goodwill of the UN. The WBTS ended their association with the UN as soon as they became aware that "The Guardian," an international newspaper, was going to expose their hypocrisy.

@@RobbieJayOne thank you for that. I don’t suppose you’ve heard of any occult connections? Somewhere on this thread a lady has said about it but not explained…. 🤷🏻♀️ @marcieebaby is the lady that mentions it on here.
@RobbieJayOne2 ай бұрын
@@Smashingblouse No. I was a JW from 1970-1994. Watchtower's official position was that anything to do with the occult is from satan and his demons. During my time with them I heard nothing to make me believe otherwise. But now I've learned more about Russell’s fascination with pyramids and looking at the covers of old late 1890’s-1910’s Watchtower magazine, I'm not so sure what they were up to. It seems kind of masonic and taro card looking to me now. But again, as a practicing witness I stayed away from all things occult.

At 16: 23 minutes in Tess says, "and I started reading the scripture and the context and realized that , that scripture doesn't align with the paragraph's thought at all!"...Exactly! In the past few years when I would sometimes follow along with a Watchtower study topic, I would start looking up scriptures that were cited in the paragraph, and I would think to myself, "Is this the best scripture the writers could come up with to back their point?? Are these guys Biblical morons? Do they actually read the context of the text to make sure it is not misapplied?? NO!! And that summarizes what this new generation of writers and governing body members have become over the past 2 decades particularly: Cherry pickers of words and phrases taken out of context!! (I'm an ex-JW for 55 years; ex MS, Elder, Bethelite, pioneer, Regional Building overseer,..etc. .so a long time deep student of the Bible; but always learning as many are!)

From the EB: “The English word Easter, which parallels the German word Ostern, is of uncertain origin. One view, expounded by the Venerable Bede in the 8th century, was that it derived from Eostre, or Eostrae, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility. This view presumes-as does the view associating the origin of Christmas on December 25 with pagan celebrations of the winter solstice-that Christians appropriated pagan names and holidays for their highest festivals. Given the determination with which Christians combated all forms of paganism (the belief in multiple deities), this appears a rather dubious presumption. There is now widespread consensus that the word derives from the Christian designation of Easter week as in albis, a Latin phrase that was understood as the plural of alba (“dawn”) and became eostarum in Old High German, the precursor of the modern German and English term. The Latin and Greek Pascha (“Passover”) provides the root for Pâques, the French word for Easter”. From the organization’s article: Name: The Encyclopædia Britannica says: “The English name Easter is of uncertain origin; the Anglo-Saxon priest Venerable Bede in the 8th century derived it from the Anglo-Saxon spring goddess Eostre.” Others link it to Astarte, the Phoenician fertility goddess who had the Babylonian counterpart Ishtar. In my interview, I initially recalled it coming from the Watchtower. However, when trying to find the material again, I realized it was from an article entitled “What Does the Bible Say About Easter?” I’m not trying to make the argument that the specific material the GB put in the article was wrong. Just that they did not properly quote the entire piece (also, they paraphrased and put it in quotation marks) so that the reader could come to their own objective conclusion on the matter. They only used the information that supported their position. When I read that, I felt like they lied. That’s when I decided to more thoroughly research the things they would say either in print or video, to make sure they were being completely transparent. When I did that, I realized they cherry-pick many things (including Bible verses) and outright lie at times. Many times they will also say things like “A scholar said, or some scholars say…” which only made me more suspicious, because I couldn’t even verify the source. Gerrit Lösch does a good job explaining what a lie actually is in a talk on their website, entitled “Be a Champion of truth”. I believe what they did in this article about Easter falls into the GB’s definition of lying. Timestamp 2:51-3:46

Not believing in the Trinity is a “good foundation of truth” ?!
@BeroeanVoices7 ай бұрын
@CDawson28- The trinity is a false doctrine, something made up by pagan Roman emperors. The trinity is taught by man made religions with a history of burning people at the stake and tortured true Christians. It is not a teaching of the Christ and misleads people about the true meaning of being a child of God.
@CDawson287 ай бұрын
That is fundamentally untrue. I respect your ex-JW ministry, but I would encourage you not to blaspheme God by claiming the Godhead is pagan. Just because pagans were polytheists or claimed to believe in triune gods, doesn’t make the Father, Son, and Spirit any less of a trinity. Don’t believe this JW lie.
@BeroeanVoices7 ай бұрын
@@CDawson28 It is the teaching of the trinity that is blasphemous and has wicked origins. The Arian controversy is a prime example of the Church being split in half, and only being forced into unity by the interference of a tyranical Emperor (whether that in support of Arianism or Trinitarianism): "By the 350s it [Arianism] had apparently succeeded in winning over a substantial majority of bishops and was close to becoming accepted Christian dogma… For forty years after Arius’s death the controversy that bears his name, inflamed by complex interconnections of Church and State, would continue to trouble the Homan world…." - When Jesus became God: The Struggle to Define Christianity during the Last Days of Rome, Richard E. Rubenstein "Constantine himself presided, actively guiding the discussions, and personally proposed . . . the crucial formula expressing the relation of Christ to God in the creed issued by the council . . . Overawed by the emperor, the bishops, with two exceptions only, signed the creed, many of them much against their inclination… The show of agreement pleased Constantine, who had no understanding of the theological issues, but in fact there was no unanimity at Nicaea... for more than 40 years after the death of Constantine, Arianism was actually the official orthodoxy of the Eastern Empire". - Encyclopedia Britanica
@CDawson287 ай бұрын
@BeroeanVoices Your point is not at all based on Scripture. In John 14:10, Jesus says, “I am in the Father and the Father is in me.” 2 Corinthians 3:17 says “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” These are just two passages that signify three distinct people within the Godhead. There are so many more that make the distinction between Father, Son, and Spirit while relating them to each other as God. The Trinity is not blasphemous, and no amount of citing from the encyclopedia will make it so. I will pray for all JWs and exJWs who continue to believe this lie which comes straight from the pit of hell. All glory to God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Jesus was not a created being. He is Lord.
@CDawson287 ай бұрын
@beroeanvoices I’d also like to ask, do you believe Jesus Christ to be our Savior? Of course! So, then, why in Isaiah 43:11 does the Lord say, “I, even I, am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.” How could Jesus be the Savior if God is the only Savior? The only way would be if both Father and Son were in fact God the Savior. Further in Isaiah 44:6, He says, “I am the First and I am the last.” Famously, in Revelation 22:13, Jesus says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” So, is Jesus lying or is the OT God lying, according to your belief?
