You have really got it bad. There are many things found in the bible that are not pleasant such as Jehovah's destruction of wicked people and their children. Or that part where Christians are not to associate with the world. If they do associate with the world they become and enemy of God. The bible makes it clear that a member of the Christian congregation who commits a gross sin and refuses to repent is a wicked person. As Christians we do not have anything to do with wicked people for obvious reasons. The person who gets disfellowshipped knows the deal and has no one but himself to blame.

I’m pimo, during covid we received often text messages from our group overseer regarding news, updates on covid and so on. One of the message was saying how to donate online and if you had problems doing so, someone would come by to pick up the donation (monetary) . Then the next sentence said, if you need help and assistance go to the following website, it was a worldly website that offered various help during the pandemic. I said to myself, this is really how they are, they want that money, but if you need help go to the wicked sonn to be destroyed world of Satan !

The midweek meeting when they showed the video was the straw that broke the camels back with me. Bringing up the failed 1975 prediction and saying it was a a teaching born from followers and not the watchtower itself which is a bold faced lie. I probably could have buried my doubts if they owned up to their mistakes but instead they blamed the followers. Why did they feel the need to dig up the dead horse? It makes no sense but i’m glad they did cause it woke me up.

When I studied to become a JW I was in sharp Opposition to the one teaching me. I argud that the faithful and discrete slave could be anybody who was faithful and discrete. That was the splitting point!! "You have to admit that it can be only one-- and that history prooves that it is the Governing body of JW!!" If you will not agree to that, then we will stop the Bible study! So what will it be? Will you admit to it!!?? And I caved in!!-But with a revengeful mind! I think I am more concerned, appalled, and concerned every time I see or read a story where someone was disfellowshipped and reinstated after being a sexual predator, or someone was disfellowshipped for being a victim who believed but chose to go to the police instead of following the elder's "advice" to stay quiet and "forgive" the abuser. That makes me feel awful. And I'm not a JW and never have been or ever will be.

I quickly texts her to say I left because of them lying in God's name and because of the children. What JWs don´t tell you (deliberately): That members are being treated like immature children who cannot make own decisions on their lives. That they are discouraged of getting higher education or persue a professional career, or to get involved in politics or social life in general, as if this were a misdemeanor. That they are discouraged of taking the chances that life offers, including the "persuit of happiness" as they wish, (and as the constitution guarantees them) for example in the way of a satisfactory sex life.. And they don´t tell you that a large part of their spiritual life consists of fear (of death, sin, end of the world, not following some rule, to be shunned and 1000s more).

I was always very faithful, zealous, wholehearted in my service and worship even While on occasions running into some points I thought didn’t make sense or were wrong, but I had faith. Then I experienced some things, still tried to hang on tho. Then decided to leave my narcissistic abusive elder husband who wasn’t who he appeared to be. Well, yall can imagine how that went, and how I was treated, then found out that’s a pattern of behavior not a once in a while here n there situation. Abuse the abused more, seems to be the MO. Then I came across the ARC and saw that that pattern ran deeper and was much worse than I thought it was. Then found out about them having a membership with UN after years of bro & sis’ get killed, raped and such for refusing a political card. Then were there investment, then the history with Rutherford, then Grebers influence on the Bible. They are in my opinion, modern day Pharisees.. I was reminded of how Jesus gave an example after being condemned on the Sabbath how freaking God's law of the Sabbath. And I don't remember the scripture perhaps, you remember. Where Jesus asked his disciples if one of their animals were injured on the Sabbath would you not exert yourself to assist the animal. They are so bound by rules and regulations, just like the Pharisees were. With no room for empathy, or compassion for the individuals. It reminds me of the illustration of the Good Samaritan; they translated good charitable works from this illustration by their preaching instead of actually being compassionate and kind to their neighbors. In the illustration of the good Samaritan, they would be the priests who walked on the other side of the road to avoid the wounded or injured man in the illustration. They are modern-day PHARISEES! THEY HAVE NO TRUE EMPATHY FOR THEIR NEIGHBORS. It's amazing how a person can make their Christian and not be charitable to those in need. Thank you for sharing

Ladies and Gentlemen, Am I misunderstanding something here? I get the distinct impression that Geoffrey Jackson makes it sound like “Holy Spirit” is a person. If Holy Spirit is just a force that God uses why wouldn’t Jackson say “We need the power of God.” Is Jackson’s wording not tacit admission that “Holy Spirit” is indeed a person in the Godhead? I welcome comments.

What were Jesus teachings about charity? For one, In the Good Samaritan account not only did the Samaritan not send money to the "GB" so they could decide if help was really needed but the traveler was not a believer. Yet the Samaritan provided physical and monetary assistance. We as JW's are told NOT to use charitable organizations but rather send the money to the GB and they will take care of those that are needy. When natural disaster strikes does the organization rebuild homes and provide temporary housing or monetary considerations to non-believers? Nope, only other JW's. (VERY rarely they will assist a non-JW) Nothing like what the bible teaches.

These 33,000 are subdivided into "6 major ecclesiastical-cultural mega-blocs", and ordering them by denomination size we have (I am rounding up or down slightly for convenience, using the year 2000 figures) : Independents (about 22000) Protestants (about 9000) "Marginals" (about 1600) Orthodox (781) Roman Catholics (242) Anglicans (168) So the 33,000 number is from the total of these 6 mega-blocs: 22000 + 9000 + 1600 + 781 + 242 + 168 = 33,000+ Every one of those were started by some man or woman and while many have some truth some right doctrines, they also have error as they were started by humans who believe the word said this, that, and the other thing, when in fact it did not say those things at all but came out of the minds of men and women. That is how satan operates, he will give you just enough truth so that you will also believe the error, and if you do not have the Holy Ghost guiding you into all truth, then you will fall for the deceptions that are only getting worse day by day. Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

i wish that people would do their research. 1 At a 1931 Bible Student assembly in Columbus, Ohio, Rutherford proposed a new name for the organization, Jehovah's witnesses, to differentiate them from the proliferation of other groups that followed Russell's teachings. He proposed suterfuge and stole all the wealth of Russell. So they are not 100+ years but 93 years 2. After its formal establishment in 1971, the Governing Body met regularly but, according to Raymond Franz, only briefly 53 years not the full life of the organisation. The are many other things like 3. the preaching work was mandated for all sometimes in the 1920s. 4. The property still can be viewed in San Diego Beth Sarim which was a summer cottage for the JF rutherford and his many concubines and there is another Beth Shan as well. This corrupt vile pedophilic cult.

You will, no doubt, get many different opinions. One of my favorite Bibles is the "Evidence Study Bible" - NKJV (Ray Comfort) The commentary of this Bible touches on so many topics that create opportunities to both learn and share with others. There are videos that give an overview. He is Risen!

Everyone has a bias, everyone has an agenda...you have to use discernment. Bible hub or other internet sites have hundreds of bibles so it's easy to compare. Jehovah draws honest hearted ones.

I guess they missed the part where God protects his faithful ones and they say Satan is attacking them but in reality they don’t have Gods protection as faithful ones they hide and lie and God knows everything they are doing and if they took that scripture that was read they would heed the instructions and apply it to themselves instead of using it as a weapon to cut down others spiritually
