Thank you so much for yet another great video - did bits of this walk around 40 years ago with my wife - will be back there in August 2024 with my wife and daughter - can't wait - also love walking along the banks of the East Lyn River from Watersmeet along the beautiful woodland trails there.

I see the burden of the last few weeks (months) has left their mark on your arms and I just wanted to say I'm sure it's tough when there is as many days filled with light as there are days filled with darkness. Good job for showing us one of the light-filled days. Your walk looks so sweet and joyous. I hope they help to keep your head up in the dark days. Will be praying for relief from darkness and thanking for the beauty of your videos and the talent you have!

Hey Abbie..... I recognised the Peacock and Hotel.... realised I had been there. We had lunch at the hotel with Mum, and walked the lower path to the headland rocky beach where you had your nice brew. We sat there for a while too reflecting on life..... and soaking up the sea air and atmosphere. It was the day after Dad passed. You really did take me on a journey this time Abbie. Always love watching your vids... thanks for sharing this wonderful walk. Take care.... best wishes... Steve.

I live about a 15 minute drive from the Brecon Beacons National Park, where I spend quite a bit of time, a 400 yard walk from my house( as the crow flies)takes me. To a spot where I can look one way and see a Pen Y Fan and 180 degrees from this view I can see across to Exmoor, I absolutely love the area around Lynton and Lynmouth, can’t wait to visit again, just love your films

That smile is back! Another great video filmed in perfect conditions. I'm a 'shielded' pensioner with COPD who wants to get out and about again but maybe I'm being overly cautious and therefore I'm restricting myself to short drives at the moment even though we are now unlocked. That 'Queen' song - 'I want to break free' is playing in my head. Your exploits make me so envious and I'm trying to find out if wild camping is tolerated now that restrictions have been eased. All I can find is that designated official camp sites are open again. Would be great if a land/seascape like yours was nearer for me as I'm land locked in the Midlands. Can't wait for your next trip. Stay safe Abbie.

I noted the mention of ash die-backs, and I am wondering if this is due to the emerald ash borer, an invasive bug from Asia that has devastated ash populations in North America. Wikipedia tells me the pest has reached Europe, but not clear whether that includes Great Britain. Many beautiful views in this video, as always, and I really appreciate the excellent camera quality and shots, as well as the information on the flowers and animals. You are a real naturalist, in the finest English tradition.

Ash die-back is caused by a fungal infection
@johnalden58214 жыл бұрын
@@tanagerbirder You are correct with regard to Europe, including the UK. So thanks for that correction. The Emerald Ash Borer is affecting North America ina major way, which is why I posted my initial comment (I am in the U.S.). The poor Ash trees are getting hit from all sides, it appears.

I like your videos. I especially like seeing the English countryside. It is certainly very different to Australia, where I hike. I am thinking you would like it here. You can go for days seeing no sign of civilisation. No history like there - just endless bush. One thing - why don't you use a GPS device of some sort? I am currently using a Garmin GPS watch and it's a game changer. But even a phone would be useful.
