National anthem is very critical that is why Baekhyun did amazing job not overdoing it. He already sung Korean Anthem for the 3rd time and and as first timer singing the USA anthem is already really good especially he only practiced it in a short time because orignally he has an event n that day but cancelled it last minute because he was selected to sing it. So really kudos to my Baekhyun.

I'm hella proud of Baekhyun for successfully singing the national anthem of the US and in a very short amount of time. I'm not afraid to say that he did it way better than most Americans here. The anthem, in the last decade has become a literal joke, a competition between whatever celebs to one up each other (and failing every time) instead of actually honoring the country and the meaning behind the anthem. Baekhyun Korea's representative and nation's pick gave a claimed "hard song" it's justice and honor back.

As an exo-L who loves to watch Exo performance videos almost everyday, it made me nervous to watch Baekhyun here because I really could feel he was nervous soon as he opened his mouth. You can see the difference in his tone and delivery, he is not his usual super confident self. This is probably the first time I have heard Baekhyun off pitch! I was so surprised to see he got so nervous because we all know Exo has performed for much bigger crowds than this… So he’s actually human after all? 😅 We know he is incredibly busy doing his solo concert tour, and Star Spangled Banner is definitely a tongue twister for a non English speaker…. he sang “sprite” instead of stripes, hehehe. But he pulled it off in the end after a shaky start… we are proud of you baekhynahhh nation’s pick as always

He uploaded a behind the scenes vid on his channel today and already mentioned that he might have made a mistake in pronoucing some words because he was so nervous like I totally agree with u that I haven't seen Baekhyun this nervous in his whole career but I was more nervous than him😭😂just like you said US national anthem is a big tongue twister for a not native speaker,English isn't my first language but I'm kinda good speaking it but when I read the lyrics I was like"how the hell did he pulled these lyrics right and got only one word pronounced wrong?! And he only practiced it dor 3 days!" 😭😂
