In "Lotto," Baekhyun and D.O. famously say "lipstick chateau wine color." It refers to the brand Chateau Labiotte's Wine Lipstick tint. It's a really pretty shade! I actually bought one back then. The song made that product sold out!

Your reaction to Monster was my favorite thing about this whole video. You actually saying you could feel yourself heating up...I mean, same...Monster was the very first EXO MV I watched, and that pretty much sealed my fate. Others have mentioned that EXO are kind of the bad boys of Kpop (well, along with Big Bang...). Their MV's and song lyrics tend to be more sexy and mature, and Monster really seemed to kick start that vibe. I loved that you watched them in release order, so you could see their progression over time. From Growl to Obsession is quite a journey, and change! Great reaction, and don't worry about mixing up the names, you do a lot better than so many reactors!

The schoolboy look blew up in Kpop after Growl, they are often credited with making it popular generally. Kai has the position of Centre within EXO, so you will notice his look often stands out in some way to make him quick to spot. He's not so noticeable in Lotte because he was injured and was limited in what he could do. If you like Chanyeol with red hair, wait until you see the candy-floss pink.

not sure if anyone mentioned this but the lip ring, piercings for monster and even the face chain in obsession were all ideas that baekhyun had and not the stylist. Truly a trendsetter because everyone started using face chains after it. It was the same with the mullet, he started the trend but GD introduced it to kpop i think

When “Call me Baby” came out, Kai in those checkered pants is what solidified him as one of my biases. And then “Monster” came out and it secured Baekhyun as my other bias, and no other song or MV will ever top “Monster” IMO. And I’m going to die on that hill. 🤷‍♀️ and don’t feel embarrassed about getting Suho mixed up- I’ve been an EXO fan for like almost a decade and still can’t pick him out of a crowd.

Thank you so much for this reaction marathon! Totally made my morning and brought me back to when I was first getting into EXO (and Kpop). Monster was THE SONG for me, "I'm creepin' in your heart babe" was immediately stuck in my head after listening to it and that's exactly what EXO did! I like how you pointed out the progression and elevation of the MVs and styling, it's so cool to see how EXO has grown and what they've returned to despite the different sounds and concepts over the years. You should also check out Lucky One, Love Me Right, Overdose, and History for old times sake. The fashion isn't as prevalent in these songs but the songs and MVs are great and a must for any new EXO-L.

EXO are EXO, the vocal group, I have not seen a complete group, and all of them can sing like EXO, for example. There is a famous phrase that says, "If everyone was looking for talent and not trend, they would become fans of EXO."

EXO brought me to Kai, and then I became a fan of the group. There were big issues over the 3 members that left with contractual countersuits between those members and SM. I think one of my favorite things about EXO is that it speaks miles about their talent with all the long or single take shots. From a production standpoint, with that many members, to be able to do that blows my mind. But, I've found it quite common in Kpop. Their talent is above and beyond! My fav EXO video has got to be "Love Shot." Both MV and live performace. Kai, perfection. If you watch closely in "Growl" you can see baby Kai (love that...LOL) drop his hat and pick it up...I love that little slip. It makes them human! Great video! Cheers!
