A few fun facts about this album: - Butterfly Effect was a song dedicated to exols - The last lines of obsession (first song of the album) were " disappear, get away from me". The last lines of butterfly effect (last song of the album and as I wrote before dedicated to exols) were "don't disappear" - The producer of day after day said that jongdae was the first member to record for the song and after he was done he was so impressed by his singing that he decided to change the song a bit to fit more to to jongdae. as always thank you for your reactions, they're always so fun to watch and as an exols it's always a pleasure seeing more people fall in love with their music!

To be able to go hand in hand with vocalists like Suho, Chen, Baekhyun & Kyungsoo just shows how much he has trained his vocals. Such a talented artist. Ace vocals & ace dancer. Obsession is without a doubt. My favourite kpop album of all time. It aged so well and the production is so good, the layers, a new layer I find every listen. It really shows that black producers worked on this album.

Yes, Sehun stepped up in the rap sections for this album because Chanyeol and Kai kept doing vocals for the missing members. I think this is the album after Chanyeol's surgery? Gosh, I can't remember now if it was Obsession or DMUMT. I'm pretty sure it was this one.

Kai’s voice has been my favorite for a long time now(like he was getting 1 or 2 lines and his vocal color was still my favorite lol) because his voice has so much emotion. Kai and Baekhyun’s vocals are my favorites because of the emotions. But ofc i love all of them, i can’t even listen to some of the other groups because i’m so used to Exo’s amazing vocal arrangements(idk if its the right word lol) and sometimes i can’t even hear some of the other groups’ vocals beyond the autotune and i really can’t listen to them even tho i love them and i love the song’s production 😭 i wish Exo had more songs that i can listen, i really need them to come back 😭 It will be fun if you plan to go back from the most recent to the first album but i recommend doing the opposite to see their improvement ❤️ as always i loved your reaction and i’ll always look forward to your other reactions (especially Baekhyun’s Japanese album lololol) ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

I would protect Obsession with MY LIFE! Obsession is the QUEEN and we don't deserve her. The way SM did this album so dirty i'm still mad. And this being the album that hasn't gotten a million sales just i get heated just thinking about it. But anyways YESSSS this album is truly one of their best works of their entire career. I'm still holding onto the hope that they make an Obsession repack i don't care if that's delusional or what but i know they have it somewhere in their top secret vault lmao. This one album is definitely one of their best albums! I dont know if its just me, I feel so somewhat emotional everytime I listen to Butterfly Effect. Somehow the song sounds so familiar (I dont know why & I felt this on the first listen) but it hits so different everytime I listen to it! @@a_simple_human_ actually, no one expected that they will have a comeback with 6 members during this time because they are missing 3 members with this but it didn't stop them to release a top tier album and a tour. It's really unexpected for us fans since they released it late (November 2019). Kpop artists release albums in the beginning or in the middle of the year so they will fit the criteria for the award shows. Guess EXO doesn't care about that anymore.

If you tell me to pick a favorite EXO album, I wouldn't be able to do it. Cause my first instinct is to say EXODUS for obvious reasons, but then I remember The War exist, and so on, and so forth. listening to your thoughts on all of the members during the reaction and the end was so much fun. i really appreciate how your reactions are a mixture of being a fan but also a music student. exo's b-sides are definitely the best and i find myself listening to them wayyy more than the title tracks (even though those are amazing too). i honestly agree to all of your opinions on the members in this video, i feel like those strengths (and weaknesses) are what help them gel together. they each can change their singing/rapping to what the song needs and make it seem like it was the easiest thing in the world, and the song is always balanced. usually, when groups are missing members there's a huge shift but with obsession, while you could still feel the absence of xiumin, d.o. and lay, each and every song still felt complete (imo). as sehun is my ult in exo, i do feel like i should encourage you to check out exo-sc and their albums (at your own pace though ofc, i understand that you're really busy and have a lot to react to), sehun and chanyeol's involvement in both the albums are immense, from songwriting to producing, it really showcases their talents.

I've always thought Jongdae's and Junmyeon's voices go so well with their EXO powers. Jongdae, as you mentioned, is super electric and "piercing." His voice is powerful af. Junmyeon's is calming, soft, but also fluid? His voice goes so well with any member and, I MEAN, his lines almost always go hand-in-hand with bridges lmao. Some newbie exo-ls confuse their vocals, but they're both so unique and beautiful.

Baekhyun has always been my fav voice in exo & from this album to now he has improved even more and you can def hear it in his recent work like the bambi album. He can literally sing anything and it will sound good no matter what genre.

for me this obsession album is a split with half of the songs sang by x-exo and half sang by exo. and you split them just right with part 1 and part 2 haha also obsession lyrics ends with 'get a way from me' and the last line in butterfly effect is 'don't leave me'
