I do believe it was during the time he was injured (second half of 2016 - beginning of 2017) and had to use crutches and just sit on the stage.

@@Alexandra_Indina yes, but why they didn’t show him, even when members was scattered all over the stage in tender love, there is no kai. things was hard for him in 2016, but injuries and scandals won’t defeat him.😊 he did great in 2017, I think his I See U performance was inspired by the mood of these dark time.🩼

Ahh, a no Kai performance. Miss him more listening to that honey voice and not seeing him. During this time, fans were not just worried about Kai's injury, we were also concerned about Baekhyun because he got so thin. It was very much an over-worked time in their career.
