You could try revo rod ends on the stock links. Forst on one end and the on both. This could hit the sweet spot.

I love my hardcore RC links. Love the tapered threads on them. Labeling the links instead of having to guess is a plus, especially for a new builder.

Love how smooth that truck sounds. Almost sounds like a belt drive. You said there was clicking, but I didn't hear it haha.

Very cool, I built a Power Hobby carbon chassis rig and the whl base ended up at 13.5” . Didn’t plan it that way but that how it worked out… Had to do a custom driveshaft almost 7” long.

Just grabbed the winch and dig mount, they’re so on point! Thanks! Also how the heck do we get rid of the click 😅😂🤙

I'm doing it, I'm giving my Ryft the full Treal Treatment, except for Vitavon Transmission case and Bead Locks. Just got my Castle System installed yesterday, now I have on demand breaks with my Futaba 7PXR, gonna do the castle Telemetry link thing as well, and I got a Reefs 500 on the way. USD Stickies already got the pro line dual foams installed. Thing is gonna be a beast, basing most my stuff on your build. 13 Tooth Pinion just shipped, I'm holding off on the diff lockers for now. Might just keep it fast, well see.

And THIS is why you can't make blanket statements about upgrades! You can't say a longer wheel base is better than a short wheelbase or this chassis is better than that chassis, it just doesn't apply to every situation. There is no Goldilocks solution, what works depends on the driver, driving style and terrain 👍

Problem with titanium links is they're lighter than steel and brass links, and they're softer than steel so they stick to rocks similar to aluminum links. Links being down low, I find heavy brass links optimal as it lowers your center of gravity. And brass also has a lower friction coefficient, meaning it slides better.
@lowslowcrawlers1304

Most people prefer less unsprung weight over drag coefficient, that's why Ti links are so popular and brass isnt
@LogainTheHumane
@LogainTheHumane 4 ай бұрын
@@lowslowcrawlers1304 Keep in mind links are negligible for sprung weight. The link is connected directly to the axle itself. Meaning at the bare minimum half of the weight is being put on the axle, not the shocks. So it's only half a much sprung weight as you think. And half of it further contributes to unsprung weight. Another thing is weight distribution is just as important as sprung vs unsprung weight. Weight up high is what contributes to body roll and lack of stability. Weight down low helps, even if it's partially sprung weight. I've converted all my vehicles to brass links. And every single time I'm able to do lines I previously could not. Between sliding better and lowering the vent of gravity, it's a huge upgrade. I understand your reasoning as to why people don't use brass links. But it's simply a misconception that they aren't as good as titanium. One day I hope people will realize this on a wide scale.

@LogainTheHumane I run Delrin links, super light weight plastic. Seems to be working for me and I like diving lightweight rigs, sub 5 pounds
@LogainTheHumane
@LogainTheHumane 4 ай бұрын
@@lowslowcrawlers1304 Yeah and there is definitely a bit of style to it as well. I know a lot of people who prefer light rigs and those who prefer heavy. Personally I prefer heavy rigs as they drive more realistic. As for performance, I've seen light rigs do amazing shit, but I've seen heavy rigs do about the same. I think it has more to do with weight distribution and traction more than light vs heavy. As long as your center of gravity is low, and your tires and foams grip well, you'll climb crazy stuff.

Where do you get the links bro

@patrolfeva ordered from Vanquish. Also ordered m3/m4 conversion rod ends from RC4WD. I ordered 2x72mm and 2x88mm links. I haven't received them yet so haven't installed or tested. There are some companies that sell either +9 or 10mm kits but I didn't want a full link set just to get rear links.

I’d say now shorten the front. So wheelbase is similar to og but longer rear shorter front. I wonder if it has to high a cf, does length help. Can you comp with a long car??

So I’m running the 13” wheelbase using Titanium links from Pricey Customs. I was putting it together last night and found the driveshaft issue. Did you use Incision shafts? Are they long enough? I didn’t hear you mention how you fixed that problem? Thanks man
