That’s genius. So do you just connect the aux wire to the signal wire on the hi/lo servo?

You can program the aux wire to its own channel and control it however you want in first or second gear. You don't have to set it up so you only have drag brake In low gear.

Very cool. I love outrunners. Have been running them in my crawler for about 7 years now. Crazy torque-density. I was wondering how big that motor would be. Doesn't take the same size outrunner as an inrunner to get way more power. Joe...what is the mounting hole spacing? Assuming it'll fit in the engine-bay...will the hole spacing fit a regular 1/10 scale mount?

What I’ve been expecting and waiting for since the first release of this truck ,I saw by Scale Builders Guild.Joe !!! Lol But I figured if you did it . It would be a 1100 kv castle & “At least “ a 20 tooth pinion tho. Lol Yup. Gotta do it man. 👍🤣 It’ll take it in the axles I know. Even the factory axles will take it shimmed right and tight . From what I saw one guy put that truck through ACTUALLY RIDING THAT DAMN THING lol. He might only been 5,5. But he did . And not just a few feet either. He sit on it and pulled his 1:1 Jeep Cherokee with it. Only then did he strip a hex. In one wheel. He Did a tear down after and found nothing else bothered. It’s a tank. So it will take it . Now. 🤔 lol I can’t say that for the rod ends. Haha. But you got spares of those😉. SOOO YES. !!! 1100 kv at least a 20 tooth pinion!! 👍👍🤣. and I wanna see basher tyres on it too. Something like the proline on the x max , or narrower. Lol I’ve already got the perfect 7th scale rims and tyres for this truck tho . Btw yes. I saw the castle link on here. But what I’m sore about is ….I mist a deal on a new one on eBay for 80$. I thought something was wrong ,& so didn’t buy it. Lol Later I found out the price was put in wrong and I should have gotten it 🤦♂️ lol . Bcuz it raised ti normal the next day after I saved it . Lol.

I think that set up on 4s he’s a sweet spot. I really don’t understand how that factory motor is not rated for that there is absolutely no reason a motor that size shouldn’t handle that voltage I’m actually curious if they said it couldn’t handle it because they don’t want people bashing these trucks around. Or if they were concerned there is a weak point in the transmission or in the driveline that can’t handle that much power. I mean if you think about it a kraton 6 has a smaller motor and can run on way higher voltage I get it’s a heavy truck but I just don’t see how that motor is not rated for anything higher than 3s
@3gearrc2 жыл бұрын
I think they underrated it to keep breakage and injuries in general down, its a big heavy rig, and will see alot of carnage as time goes on.
