Excellent review...exactly what everyone was hoping to learn about this new release! Redcat is showing they are committed to this Scout line-up. Aside from the stronger steering servo and 2-speed tranny, the older Scout body is another plus. I rode shotgun in this version as a kid and it back memories. The running footage was perfect. I'm off the fence. Thanks for making the video!

Excellent review Joe, definitely doing every rig a solid by having your own course to repeat the same tests on all of them. Glad they stuck with the IH body and the improvements look like they really listened to the feedback they got.

If you squeeze the tire does the rim vent. I remove foam and drill a hole in backside of rim to vent.

I'd get the purple too. Kind of regretting getting a Gen 7 Sport in silver instead of red or black. After a few months of crawling, everything is good. Probably paint the shell another color eventually. Red color option would be nice or green.

This would be a killer combo with the wendigo axles or would that just be what they did with the Marksman? I always like the red cat stuff a lot of people always slept on the company but I always saw really well engineered stuff from them just sometimes they had trouble with their plastic composite's. Hopefully they built these as good as the wendigo axles were. Have some high hopes for this. And just to let you know I watched your review before anyone else's 😁.

Everybody is breaking the mirrors. One of my favorite cosmetic things on the Gen7/8 was the folding mirrors. Not super scale but they survive a lot of abuse, and these are offroad toys so they get abused. I will be removing or replacing with Gen8 mirrors or the rubber RC4WD ones.

How's the turning radius on this Gen 9 compared to the Gen 8 Axe that I have? Has it improved? My Gen 8 Axe does not have short turning radius, my TRX-4 Defender for me is the king of short turning radius when all diffs unlocked.
