I just sold 2 sets of Badlands after using them for over a year. They are ok, but that plastic hex strips easy. Not popular 1/5 scale rire, Xmaxx tire, lol. I went Vitavon wheels Viper uber spike and Giant grip tires with no issues. Castle 800 n 1100kv geared 18/50. I dont do speed runs, was clocked over 70mph, but just bash. Nice to have power when needed. Giant grips hold up with 1100kv with foams taped, and Vitavon wheels keep ya planted. I am impressed.

I haven't ever been a fan of an o-ring holding a pin in, anything! Locktite & a setscrew beats an o-ring any day
@theirishaxe94053 жыл бұрын
Yep they can stretch under rpm and then the pin can offset to one side then it's all over the pin will fly out. I learned that from junk china drive shafts

Could use a snap ring in place of an o ring

Joe you urgently need some good fans in the machine if you're not going to cook all this... love the build my go to some Vitavon goods 😍

Got fans on it now, ran it again and a little better, got an xlx2 on it for the next run.

I locked the center diff, 18t pinion and badland.... it was the perfect set up for increased top speed, acceleration and duration. nothing over heated and i'm pulling wheelies

How do you like that center locker? Edit: Tried the locker, unless you're drag racing it's useless. It will tear up your drivetrain when bashing.

Poor some epoxy in that wheel hex, stick the DGI extender OILED in it and you are done with brand new 24mm wheel hex. Thanks for video 👍😎

May just need to find a better cooling solution as well.Trying to figure that issue out for myself. I keep breaking ESC fans on my max5. Weight is probably your biggest issue however. Try the Duratrax hatchet x I think they are considerably lighter than the prolines. I’d have a set of prolines and a back up set at the ready for my Xmaxx if they weren’t so darn heavy.

Have you tried the Losi 5ive-t wheels & Proline Trencher tires? I use them on my dbxl, gas version, & they work fine!
@yurdsdanlog3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Great video! Did you make any modifications to the Proline Badlands tires to fit the Losi DBXL E 2.0? Or you just used the DGI hex? Thanks.
@restinpiecesrc55283 жыл бұрын
Its a little hotter because you arent getting slip from the center diff and your badlands being so heavy, but the mashers and dropping a tooth on the pinion i think will make it perfect
@ExocagedRC3 жыл бұрын
I ran the mashers today, I like em.

@@ExocagedRC they look like awesome tires, id love to see weight and size comparisons with the mx43 badlands and rtr tires like the xmaxx and kraton 8s tires

Joe can’t wait to see those Mashers perform. I know you gonna eventually stick one those 1100kv in their. I’m hoping these voltage regulators coming out soon. Image that cooler runs.

Mc2 racing has that 6 nut/bolt hex adapter kit, don’t know what sizes but definitely cheaper than new tires/rims. And they’re fairly new so would make a good test/review. Sick build, when u going to get the outcast 8s out again brother?😊👊🏼✌🏼🙏🏼
