After 2 YEARS I try to start my 32cc LOSI DBXL and this happened | RC ADVENTURES

Foam Filter Care Kit: amzn.to/2OwdLWd The sun has risen over my backyard race track.. and I am compelled to blow off the dust on one of my 1/5th scale race trucks... This is a Losi DBXL original (since updated: amzn.to/2FFdWu1) with an upgraded Zenoah 32cc engine. I have not started this machine in more than 2 years.. and I have no idea what is about to happen. Will it start?! First I go through all of my checks and balances.. to ensure the best chances that this old beast will rumble to life. The suspension is squeaky, and the drive shafts have a thin layer of rust on them from a past cleaning. This is going to need some work!

after 4 years i decided to get back into the hobby. i had modded rustlers,slashes etc. i only kept 1 when i sold my rc cars. my old hpi savage ss that i bought as a roller on ebay for 100 bucks. i put that back together with a lrp .30 z spec nitro and only ran it once. i have stuff ordered. i defiantly wanna fire the old truck up and run it. i been debating in the spring about getting another truck.. a bigger one. like you have. that will make me smile haha!

I had a 26cc I recently adapted a 98cc 4 stroke to it with the help of a friend with a plasma cutter an metal bender lol... It flies like crazy now... Love ur vids been watching you for some years now... Never a disappointment!!!!

As I said in my previous posts I have AS as well and my spine is completely fused, from the skull down, and I ride motorcycles, shoot almost every weekend, I picked up a 5t at my local shop, it's a little heavy but I can handle it fine. I don't push my back to the point it's painful, a little bit is ok, but if I push it to much I pay the price, but I still do everything I did before my surgeries if not more, becasue I know life is short so I am enjoying the time I have

I just buy my nitro fuel. I've found a good reliable brand and it last me a while. Though mixing it myself would allow me to gas fuel when I want rather than waiting for delivery.

Looks good. I will say it's really important to clean the inside of a carb when an engine has been sitting. Not doing so can lead to lean running and engine damage.

I use dry lube such as 3 in 1 dry lube on metal spur gears. It quiets them down a lot. I don't own any gas RC's but I've watched some videos by BotaJell. He recommends putting a little 3 in 1 oil into the combustion area of a new engine and or an engine that hasn't been run for a while. A few slow pulls then brap. It helps lubricate prior to a dry start plus it appears to act like a starter fluid as his procedure often results in a 1st pull start of the engine.

Seeing the space between the engine and the "windshield" got me thinking of when the guys at Drive On put pan n tilt FPV cams in their 1/10th scale trucks. They had to mod them quite a bit, but it looks like it might fit easily on this beast.

👍 Nice , never owned a big RC like that but they do look awesome! On those servos that are messing up you may want to try taking them apart and spraying everything with corrosion X spray even in the potentiometer and they just might come back to life again.

Just send it to me lol. I will fix it. corrosion X helps those servo issues. Thats sometimes the hard part is not over torquing the servos on a vehicle. I blew the one out on my float plane and it would only go in circles in the middle of the lake. The float servo was the one I killed. I had to row row row my swim ring out to that plane. Now I have a inflatable raft. I didnt back then. That got me to wanting one of those now, thanks!
