Got the same set up...max 6. Dont forget to go into the programming and turn it up the rest of the way. The factory setting is 5 you can push it to 7 .

I gotta say …. The reason your E-Revo runs so well is your skill level running the model ….. When I got mine when they first released the vxl 2.0 I had my far share of a learning curve before I stopped crashing it and started to enjoy the model…. I do what I call terrain bashing …. I run it like I stole it and I navigate any and all hills and inclines I find at various run spots I use …..I now run it with the Duratrax belted MT six packs with both the on road variant as we as the one round variant and there is NEVER any ballooning with either variation of these tires …. Plus they’re slightly bigger than the stock tires so doin any flips is better because of bigger mass of the tires…… check them out…… Thanks for sharing…..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯

I don't know what it is about the E-Revo 2.0 it's a little awkward compared to some RC cars but I still feel like that thing handles really really good for a monster truck per se even though I don't consider it a monster truck I feel like it should be called a truggy I heard you talking about your grandson using it I put mine on 3s and let my 8-year-old go at it I don't know if you know but even the stock VXL 6s ESC will run a single 3s no problem

I just built my revo 2.0 with a max8 2200kv combo and vg springs with stock gearing and motor fans. Is stock gearing best for bashing and what weight shock oil did you use? Mine is a bit too soft at 45wt but thats the best i had in stock

I went to a 14 tooth to stay cool. Still fast enough for bashing. I don't care about doing flips. Just flying. I think I'm 75 in the shocks.

JOE ? I’ve found that the traxxas receiver is the problem with running the duel servos. no matter what two you get they will eventually die . This is how I found out . They leak power to both after a few seconds of setting . And I’m sure it’s not even leaking that power to both servos equally which is even worse in a duel setup and is why a single lasts longer. Though you might not even see/notice it while setting with the car weight on the tires . This is the biggest problem on why people has issues even with running a duel setup. With a single servo it’s not fighting against the other with the power leak from the receiver. I think it’s Bcuz of the trim adjustment or the drift adjustment. I’ve been running a receiver powered SINGLE : JX CLS-HV7346MG 46kg Aluminium Digital Coreless Servo for RC Car R4Q5 just like the direct powered servo you got not long ago for over two yrs now. With no issues. And yeah. Your springs are the right ones. They are just adjusted all the way back I believe. Lol. Whoever you got it from probably did that. Just crank them back up. Get that tru trac kit like we talked about & you’ll be set. I’ve actually ran 8 packs through mine without turning a screw for the first time since I’ve owned it. Lol.

You have to set them up so they don't fight each other at rest. Also, make sure the servo saver is not over tightened.

@@Art-zs6sl I know that . But that’s not what I am talking about. Like I mentioned above. “The receiver leaks power after a couple seconds of not touching the throttle or steering”. But when you even twitch the throttle? The wheels will go straight/stop leaking the power to turn the wheel. . And it doesn’t do it every time either. Just like 50 % if the time (estimated ). Nothing kills servos faster than low power put to them at long periods of time. And if yours/anyone else is still running two servos still ? That only makes it worse . I think this is why people thinks it’s not centering the servos before mounting the horns. Because it’s just a mis diagnosis for what actually is a problem in the receiver. And it could be written off as a assembly thing with traxxas too. When it’s not. This problem is still happening yrs later. Because they buy radios in a way larger bulk Bcuz they don’t change much if ever for yrs . That radio design is ten yrs old . Traxxas probably ordered 10 x as many as as they knew they would sell in a yr with one kind of truck. Servos goes out on lots of others. But last longer because they don’t use two servos in the design. Even tho your ESC & batteries powers the servos ? It’s all guided by the receiver 💁‍♂️. Trust me. I’ve messed with RC for 35 yrs. I know all about setting up /powering up the servos to center them and setting the up the servo arms. That’s not what I am talking about. I actually believe traxxas knows it’s a problem with the receiver. They give out servos with basically no questions asked. And that’s cheaper than replacing radios . Especially the order amounts they buy at once that would have to be eatn & thrown away. If I could post a video I’d show you. I checked it with a Meter . And if it was the servo or esc ? Touching the throttle wouldn’t stop the power leak. 💁‍♂️.

@@spike-- Yeah. I’m not saying all of them does this. But I do know some cars /radios does it worse than others. And some doesn’t do it at all. That’s why ,like I mentioned above ,some people has them go dead very fast. Better made servos just handles the strain better than others when changing them. But people still has them not last like they normally do on other stuff. …. and some revo’s doesn’t leak but just enough power to strain the Servos ,but not turn the wheels like others do (like mine ). It will turn to the left while setting still ,& not touching anything on the radio. And it’s not my trim or servo horn not clocked right. Because I use one servo. 💁‍♂️ I can change receivers and it will quit doing it. And I run a max-6 on the ones I’ve tried this on.

To be more technical (& this is why I was trying to not write a book about it. Well…a book any bigger than I already had to write. Lol to explain this .) It’s because…the servos mosfet/fuse like thing,but actually isn’t a fuse either, lol or sometimes it’s the potentiometer is what burns out but probably better than 99% of the time it’s the Mosfet that burns out on the PCB BOARD of the servos. (This is what some people that knows electronics repair,replaces to fix them. Which I do this to a good extent . And I work on TV’s on the side to help people save money & me make some extra $. ) And it’s why traxxas takes trade ins on them & other things . This is partially why I think they know ,like I said And those are fed power by the receiver,which also probably has bad potentiometers in them. 💁‍♂️ They use the same ones exactly. It controls the AVC & the trim adjustment. But the other being fed the power will burn out a lot more than the one that’s feeding the power in the receiver. Which means the servo is the one that burns out wat more . Even tho radios are replaced too 💁‍♂️. Most people just won’t put together the technicals of why this happens.

Wow, my old 2.0 with stock esc, motor, and gearing gets standing backflips, wheelies, and mid air backflips easy. Yours doesn’t look like it has enough power to level out in the air. Time to investigate.

Looks perfectly fine to me. These tires are smaller and probably lighter than stock of course it will not perform as well in the air. It won't do standing backflips on any offroad terrain. He's not accelerating hard so it won't wheelie.

It's definitely the smaller tires making the difference. I personally prefer it not to do a wheelie every time I try to accelerate.
