The LOSI Promoto SM is a RACER!!

Losi Promoto MX is one of my favorite rc's I own. I'm gonna wait a few months to get another Promoto but in the meantime I've already asked my local Hobby Shop to bring in all the parts for the SM conversion. Its about $100 for the parts plus street tires if you dont already have them. Most of the guys with the MX have street tires already. Those front flips over the curb were awesome but sounded brutal!! 😂😂 Make a small kicker ramp for long low sends maybe 4" tall thats it. I need to make another, mine finally broke this winter. Tons of fun for street rippers!! 👊👊👍👍

One thing a lot of people don’t realize when turning the promoto is that you have to counter steer like a drift car, it takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it you can turn on a dime

Not sure if it applies to this but I had the Venom 450MX bike with a mechanical gyro in the rear wheel, but it took me a long time to master it, it was then given a electric gyro again in the rear wheel, so back to driving, those who drove RC cars offroad trucks and buggies struggled with it a long time before it became easier not ever mastering it, but a few friends who had never driven or only once or twice driven trucks, buggies or road cars got on well and did not take long at all before showing me up. I still have it but stopped using it after it was discontinued and parts were in short supply as the company went it to liquidation so can only run in super moto mode as I can not find front knobbies and only have a couple of rear tyres but plenty of supermoto tyres and inserts but have spare bodies and some consumables spare brake pads, rear shock and front fork springs, so only run it occasionally and am gentle with it as on 3S as recomended it is a bit of a handfull, never got the MX too many other projects, but oh so tempted to buy this one but will have to wait a bit.

Depending on how well this on-road version sells I would love to see losi tackle a legit street bike. Maybe a Yamaha or something. I think it would be pretty cool. A quad would also be awesome, Yamaha banshees would sell like hotcakes 😂.

They’re a hobby grade bike with oil-filled shocks, a legit chain and sprockets, disc brakes, etc. it’s a hobby grade RC. Not a toy!

Losi is seriously stupid for not releasing a different bike with a different rider. They basically put onroad wheels on an off-road bike. Nobody wants this. People wanted a street bike which was the reason people were doing street modifications on the bike to begin with.
