Dune driving is to race car driving like flying aerobatic aircraft, much more positive Gs and also negative Gs...it's definitely a major part of enjoying vehicles and terrain, plus when we organize something like this we put in a one way track in the dunes to stop accidents from happening..much more fun .. 😂😂😂

if you want a real motorsport with crazy sounding and waaaay overpowered engines, climbing up almost vertical cliffs, check out formulia offroad from iceland, best motorsport there is!

i havent ridden sand buggy like this, but i have been a passenger in an Icelandic Formula Offroad monster (steel/aluminium/titanium tube frame, ca 1200kg) that was 1450hp BEFORE 400shot nitro, and we went up almost a vertical cliff, the power is mindboggling, feeling the acceleration while going almost straight up, i think nothing except going up in a rocket is comparable 😅

a buggy, V8 motors, quad turbos, 1600+++HP, on some tall suspension, weighs lighter than most normal cars, no helmet, no air bag, no windshield, and sands just in your face and vision. WILD
@KaosProject212 күн бұрын
basically you need a strong cage and something to keep from bonking your noggin on said cage. it would take a *ton* of foam and urethane rubber to pad a cage where you didn't need any helmet at all. think of stock interior like a dash pad. ive flipped a ton of stuff in all kinds of situations lol. you need bump protection, but also a heavy helmet will break your neck unless you basically don't have one loool. henry rollins and the rock will be okay with a 35lb helmet in a barrel roll ballet spin endover flip and subsequent tumble down a hill, but *youre* gonna feel like dale Earnhardt lol

To do the MOST UNEXPECTED colab EVER....reach out to Cleetus. He knows a thing or 2 about sand cars. The hits you'd get would BLOW your mind. Cleet has a HUGE fan base...oh yeah, and a racetrack.

F9 Funco's all built about 5 miles from my house. The UAE knows how to do it for sure ($$), but if you want to see insane sand car culture and where it all started come to Glamis on a holiday weekend. Thanksgiving, New Years and Presidents are the craziest weekends. You'll see not just 10 of these cars, but hundreds and everything in between that would blow your mind as a first timer.

lol we were having the Sxs/sand rail lols in a fb group the other day. its kinda surprising there arent more missing link vehicles between the two. you could pretty easily lengthen a sxs with a long travel, big paddles, and a 1khp turbo kswap and it would do what a rail does at a lot lower weight penalty and a lower running cost lol... just like you can pretty much build a sxs from a golfcart if youre determined enough lol
