Soft domes are the way to go, I've got a pair of silk soft dome midranges in my car and silk dome tweeters to go with them and the detail in my vocals and highs are amazing. Glad to see ya get your new garage settled. Can't wait to see ya finish the van and future projects man.

Why are the magnets always so much bigger on house speakers (tweeters)? I they over engineered vs car audio tweeters?

LOVE Paradigm speakers. Been using them since the company was founded. They make ALL components for their speakers.

no they rebrand peerless
@djijspeakerguy46282 жыл бұрын
I’ve not heard anything about Peerless speakers in Paradigm products. They used to use Vifa tweeters. That was in the 90s. They’ve been making all their parts in house since then. Yeah, the bass on Paradigm speakers, even the little Atoms, sound great.
@PlatinumEagleStudios10 ай бұрын
@@misterbikerman7888 Shut the hell up kid. No they don't. Stop correcting people with bullshit information. I suggest you learn your shit before correcting people. They use Vifa tweeters. Also they're NOT rebranded Peerless. So shut your mouth

The original paradigm monitor series was amazing. I had the 5s in my home theater for years. Great job on the repair. I have moved on to DIY and have Elusive 1099s now. I am going to start scanning craigslist though for old speakers.

Great job bringing those speakers back to life! I've done this countless times with Boston speakers. They typically need a reforming kit for the woofers and they're good to go for another 20 years!
@amanteapasionado68362 жыл бұрын
My mom bought me those exact speakers for me for Christmas as a teenager in the late 90's and my did the same. The tweets just went out so I swapped out with some other tweets and used the face plate as well. It's crazy that your doing the samething 25 years later. I actually liked those speakers they sounded great and the bass was surprisingly stronge.

This is awesome to see some paradigms. I am listing to this video on a set in my living room. I bought these monitor 9”s V2 back in 2002 in a hock shop for $350 and then have playing audio everyday since then. I have them paired with two PS1000 V4 subs and the other 7.2 is also all monitors. Love them. I have never had any problems with them.

I got me a little 12 inch subwoofer for my home surround sound, about 500 watt max 250RMS and a smaller 8 inch subwoofer pushing about 100 watts maybe plus the other satellite speakers hooked to a 1,000 watts receiver and I also hear the bass rattling the door from the outside, GTA V explosions have a lot of bass 🔊 great video, thanks for sharing 👍

Your garage is built like a concert hall. It has that loud echo effect. You just need 2 18" subwoofers on a huge PA system or a car amp hooked to a battery bank and that whole garage will shake even more!

Awesome, I can't wait to put a good stereo in my garage. Hey, you breeze over components with ease and when you're not plugged into the system as close as you are can you do a video on what good builder parts are out there, or what works good for cheap as it's easy to go down the rabbit hole and spend multiple paychecks when something cheap may get you 80%+ of the way there on the cheap. Thanks!
@BigBoy74X2 жыл бұрын
Technically these were actually worth the money depending on how much you spent on them and the time that one stopped working. As a real true follower, you had these for 4 yrs., and if they worked all the way up to till recently, then you actually didn't buy junk! 2018 you used these same pairs for a sound test. Only your true followers will know that! I know what you mean about having a habit about buying junk on CL/Offer Up. Stay Blessed bro.

Oh also people forget air compresses..lol so when I have Quality Amp and sub that can take the heat a sealed chamber in rear returns the energy put in as a bounce like a air shock ,where's it go? Forward same as the forward kick...you don't loose half your energy on rear absorption it's all returned to forward direction ( where you and dB meter are) 😁 ..love your videos!!!!

I have those speakers and had a tweeter blow out. You can buy the newer titanium tweeters, but you have to cut the plastic tabs, and re epoxy them so they fit. Was fairly easy, and sound a tad better.

I put my floor subs under my bed in their backs and and double the bass and I had the surround sound speakers in the corners of the ceiling and it had loads of highs and mids in the room. No one knew where all the bass was coming from until they sat in the bed and than you could feel them hahaha

People tend to blow tweeters on "bright" speakers when they use some type of built in room correction on a receiver. Denon, for example, will add a boost in the highs by default. I blew a coupe tweeters on some not cheap speakers before I discovered this. If you limit the room correction to 500(600) hz and below, you won't have this problem.
