At 3:20 you could tribute to the doom the stardust, that will force it (thought ruler can only negate S/T that target a psychic, so in this case is useless). Then duster the backroll and then use graceful. Am i missing something?
@toadfan64Ай бұрын
You are not. I gave an audible WHAT! lol. Big misplay from lithium there. Would have probably got it 3-1.
@Raikiri103Ай бұрын
Massive throw. No idea what was going on there.
@jabberjoАй бұрын
Yeah, this to me was a pretty big misplay. Tribute to the Doomed gets Stardust off the field (or the Solemn) and Duster removes the other. In a deck that's running 3 Solemns and multiple Oppresions, you'd think he'd have tried getting rid of the backrow ASAP. It's rare for this Exodia to see more than 3 turns

Using Graceful before Feather duster was really painful to watch, by all rights that should have cost Exodia the match. Tribute to force Stardust, Feather the backrow and hope you draw into your power cards off graceful. There is noooo reason to use your key card before you wipe the backrow. But woohoo let's go Exodia, moving on. Crazy deck, but a really fun one to watch. I think that list has to be a staple CBC deck moving forward. Next matchup, definitely an interesting one. Dark Matter always seems to get crushed in these (and probably will also lose to Exodia because it has NO defense), while BlooD is always a contender. Giving it to BlooD. Weird to say that a deck that was emergency banned and has 8 years of powercreep on it is the underdog, but yeah.

Imo, the opponent should ALWAYS solemn the graceful. Because it is, by far, the best card of exodia deck. It triggers sangan/witch, it helps to get Duster/heavy, fixes bricked hands. In last game, if the opponent solemn graceful, he would probably win, because he knew that graceful was the topdeck and the turn before, lithium bricked
@chaotixthefoxАй бұрын
Counterpoint, Lithium was giga throwing in game 3 by not forcing Stardust with Tribute then Duster to clear backrow before committing to Graceful.

Are there any records of the first 'official' yugioh tournament ever? Was this exodia deck the first ever, or was there anything that pre-dates this? Last Will, Sangan, Witch, the draw rule, all of those pre-date the entire english version of the game, and I would guess a good portion of your audience haha! Great video as always.

Konami had no clue how to balance cards back then, sangan and witch had to be errata'd in the ocg so they only triggered when sent from field. Good thing Konami's learned since then and has never printed anything so overpowered like that ever since :)
