When Paul Baloff Was Alive in 85 everyone I knew really liked the vocals . Guy sounded like Cobra Commander . Really over the top . Guy sounded like a psychopath . Perfect for Exodus first album .

"When Paul Baloff was alive, everyone thought he sucked" statement is absolutely FALSE...me and all my Metalhead buddies bought BBB album on day one and worshiped it. We didn't think Baloff was any worse or better than any other Thrash singer in '85. He was brutal and violent and his voice fit the aggression perfectly! We did however, think that Zetro sucked.

All I remember are all the bands sporting Exodus shirts in 84/85... so much for Baloff sucks. He wasn't Bruce Dickinson or Dio, but nobody ever managed to recapture his vocal style and aggression. The closest might have been Mem from Exumer... and they copied Exodus in 85, also, let's not forget that Destruction tried to get Baloff to sing on Cracked Brain.

sorry but gary holt is a goat and steping in for jeff hanneman in his crisis then standing up and in for jeff hanneman when he died he became a legend. and paul baloff was was an absolute lunatic and legend

Paul baloff is a way better vocalist than the newer singer. Once you get a new vocalist the bass sound tottally changes.
