As a New Zealander. We also have feijoas, either you have a feijoa tree or your neighbour does but EVERYONE has a bag full of feijoas that they possibly can’t get through when it’s feijoa season. They don’t taste like cleaner, I swear. The larger ones are sweeter.

Exotic is contextual. Where I live you'll see prarie dogs running all over the place, in parks etc. But are exotic enough in other regions that they have them in zoos lol

Justice for cherimoya! A tree grew in the front yard of the house where I would spend my summers in Ecuador. Easily one of the best fruits I've ever had, the texture is tender and slightly chewy, like a cross between a banana and a mango.

The tamarillo looks a lot like a little eggplant, and apparently it actually is from the same family as potatoes, tomatoes and eggplants. And the longan is related to lychee.
