Beautiful work! Question, why do you cut the mallet part in half then glue it back together? Does that make it stronger? Thanks!!

Thanks for reaching out and watching! The reason I cut the mallet part in half and glued them together was to get a thicker and wider board length. The stock that i had was not wide, and the mallet portion would be narrow. By cutting and gluing the way I did, I was able to control the thickness of the mallet itself. I would guess that it does not make it stronger.
