Exotica Vol. III was recorded entirely on a Sunday, starting in the morning and recording late into the evening - it was the only day the auditorium was available. We ran into several problems along the way, including the unwanted twittering of birds and even some guy revving up
his motorcycle nearby. In fact, the recording of Exotica III was so problematic that we actually
had to re-record the entire album, as we were not pleased with the first version.
Although Exotica Vol. III was recorded first, Liberty Records decided to release the next album
we recorded, Quiet Village, about a month ahead of it to capitalize on the single of “Quiet Village” which was beginning to break.

Is this from the original LP version? You have it listed as the Capitol Records release (which is the present form of the album that is available for streaming on demand at present). The original release was on Liberty LP in 1959.

This is the 1959 Capitol Release (Purchased in CD Stereo format from Qobuz) this is not a vinyl recording. I will try and clarify that in my newer posts.

@@midnightmood9144 As far as I know, the only LP available that I know of was on Liberty. Capital Records apparently acquired the rights to this once UMG got hold of the masters from EMI in 2012 (there is an evolution of ownership to these recordings).

@@midnightmood9144 When was this CD form actually released (it would be a reissue of the LP)? The only two I know of are the Cherry Red (PoppyDisc) from 2006 and the Scamp from 1997.
