Working these days in corporate America as a black woman period is not worth the taxing harassment and torture unless you’re going to get you a rich husband sad but true .. 😮I saw a beautiful caramel black woman get poisoned after a promotion by her female boss

Rich husbands aren't a guarantee of anything. If Jay-Z can look like he fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, be a billionaire, *and still* cheat on BEYONCE, what does that say about how men treat "dream girls?

I’ve dealt with this type of energy in the corporate environment in my 20s & age 30. Then I started working in the healthcare field in my early 30s & it became much worse! I’m in my mid 40s now & most of the nurses that I work with are from West Africa and for some reason, I find myself constantly bumping heads with them! They are always being rude & snappy for no reason at all. Whenever I defend myself & speak up, they tell me that “I’m defensive & problematic”…..kinda like what WW or jealous AA women would say! It’s very sad…….

I have heard of notice I have noticed more immigrants are starting to merge in different parts of the USA even in parts that weren’t always culturally diverse. So we will see a lot more different social dynamics at play.

I have this problem with west africans too. It's not you, it's them. Try to find a job in healthcare with a more diverse group of collegues.

@@Shades_of_Resilience333 I agree! And you've always got to protect yourself. That's why I work from home now. I have noticed that when you work in spaces with more of a certain ethnic group, you tend stick out more vs a mixed group of collegues.

This is a good video and the information can be used for most people. Honestly, I've e seen this go both ways. Sometimes people who look a certain way expect preferential treatment. Their use to being fawned over and have diffiulties when that doesn't happen.

I agree that it can happen to anyone but I’m just referencing to common things I noticed for my core audience who have maybe dealt with colorism like I have in the workplace or just general women being jealous and sometimes skin tone is at play unfortunately .

@@Shades_of_Resilience333 I understand where you're coming from because I've experienced colorism more than one in the work place or hatred for being attractive and not the stereotypical

@@Shades_of_Resilience333 I've definitely dealt with colorism. Other black people do have certain expectations and stereotypes of lighter skinned blacks. The ignorance and unprofessionalism is astounding sometimes and if you try to stay away from them because of their attitudes, it just reinforces what they think anyway. I look for more diverse workplaces now as a result. I do not like to work in any atmosphere that is only one race, and especially not all blacks. I say that as someone who used to be highly supportive of black management, but over the years I've learned it just leads to a highly toxic work environment.

Once you understand the realities of capitalism, two things happen: 1) You stop giving anything beyond exactly what you're getting paid to do at work & 2) You get radicalized and start connecting the dots about the entire system so you can organize with others to plot its demise. Don't let this newfound knowledge make you stop after doing step 1). To change this reality for one of us means changing it for all of us. And that takes class consciousness and solidarity.
