I really love your products (A LOT!), but I find it a little upsetting to see that this costs another $80 on top of what I already paid for bias FX pro. I don't mean to be disrespectful by this upcoming statement in any way of course. I've bought bias amp desktop pro, and bias FX desktop pro, then bias pedal was released shortly after, and now this expansion. Its quickly becoming extremely expensive. Really, this should come with the pro version of bias FX in my opinion. I understand that "If its expensive or you don't want it, don't buy it", but I feel the price is a lot for what it offers. I mean, I live in Canada so with currency conversion iv'e spent $500 already. I was thinking of buying bias pedal, as its a reasonable price for what it offers (what with pedal match and cloud), but this is very expensive, even at a discount. I feel like this is maybe worth $20 at most. Just my 2 cents. None the less keep up the good work, but hopefully keep this in mind for the future. Sometimes doing things for your customers like free expansions will keep them around longer and coming back to buy new products.

Now that I moved a few years ago to Ireland and I am finally able to buy some gear, I can not understand people complaining about prices. I work as everybody else with a normal salary and the things I get with the effort I make seems pretty fair to me. Your are getting something that is INSIDE! your computer, that is going to provide you amazing tones to record with and help you to develop as a musician. Something that has taken years to be created by people who dedicate their lives to this. Now guys, without all the respect... be grateful for the things we are getting. The technology that is coming out is insane and ANYONE who makes a bit of effort can purchase it. They might have marketing strategies selling you expansion packs or whatever, we all can see that, but those guys have to provide to themselves and their families, and keep the company moving. And what they are doing for all of us is beyond anything someone born even in the 90's could ever imagine. I just hope open some mind guys and everyone could be cool about it!

+Gabriel Frison Im not trying to start an argument here but, Im 22 years old, and currently struggle with finances. For me, to charge for what should be an update doesnt sit well with me. For the little guys its a slap in the face. Just saying theyre making a killer. I imagine theyve sold with all their products probably millions of dollars worth with how this has been marketed. Im cool with all their other products and support the prices completely, and agree that the technology is down right amazing! But for this particular thing, It should be a free update for bias FX pro. Not for the base bias FX though. That or reduce the price to $50 normally, to which it could go on sale for $20. That would be much more reasonable for what it is.

Anyone else getting issues actually getting the amp control panel up when you select it from the amp list? It just keeps the original amp I was using before selecting, and seems to send the cab to "bypass"... weird.

hi guys i bought this upgrade today, but i´m pretty dissapointed that the metal amps from ola, keith and jeff cant be anyhow modded. They even don´t react to turning off the cabinet sim - can you somehow make it work? Thx - i´d like to try ola into a real cabinet so i want the cab sim off

i know what you mean, but thats not entirely true! these amps and effects are actually individually different than just tweaking other things to get a metal tone! im not saying you cant come close or that one is better or worse but its not like buddy said that you pay just to get them instantly. they are actually different amps that were modelled using modelling software! how do you think your getting the sound of a tube screamer or a mesa rec or a fender supersonic? they are actually modelled! its not like they just tweak the same amp 20 different ways and sell it as a new amp lol! it just comes down to what your budget and needs are! but its definately legit different amps and tones! but like i said i agree you can probably come close to lets say the ola amp with a (just for example) mixing a peavey hi gain amp and a mesa triple rec , with a tube screamer, a treble booster, a compressor , some eq, and a gate! not saying those exact things, but just an example! anyway!!!

Metal Pack doesn't come with presets, it comes with individual effects/amps.

I am going to ask a stupid question, is this compatible with Presonus Studio One? Can I record through that DAW and use it as a VST? Hi Roland, yes it works with Presonus Studio One Professional and Producer versions. Yes, it is a DAW plugin and works as a VST. The hardware you use will be your audio interface that you use with Studio One.

Truthfully you can't go wrong with either one, however for now I'd keep it simple and get the Metal Pack, it contains some fantastic metal amps and also effects to add to your arsenal.

I have bias/bias fx for ipad using irig hd. Almost none of the amps, especially in bias, sound like what I'm hearing online. Every high gain amp, including the new metal pack needs a boost to get any kind of tightness/sustain out of them. I posted my best attempt on the cloud "Insanity in Stereo". Still not where I thought it all should be. Have attempted to contact "Help Center". None of the online content on my device sounds like it does online.

It's not so much a specific "tone" I'm after, I'm just wondering if I'm having problems with a brand new interface since the high gain sounds I'm getting are significantly different than what I'm hearing online, that even goes for patches that are demo'ed online and available for download. When I play through a stock 92 Rectifier, without a boost, the gain levels are no where near the gain levels of the rectifier I used to own. The insane models are practically unusable without a boost and serious eq tweaking. Sorry for my redundancy, just trying to figure this out.

+Tone Ranger it's the pickups as well, noticed that you have to tweak pretty good to get near the tone but the guitar as a whole effects the tone as well! Drop a Sentient and Nazguhl (sp) in your guitar and it'll be a bit closer! :)

I bought this understanding that the cabs could be changed with the celestion wav.3 factory IRS...(which are the best IRS imo)but it won't let you.The speakers that come with Loomis Marrow etc are too muddy and lifeless

i have bias professional and the metal expansion pack. but it seems that every time i download a tone from the tone cloud, they don't work in my daw. anyone else having that issue? its almost acting like im not signed in. i can't seem to use any of the artists tones. i can run everything perfectly via the standalone but the DAW version refuses to let use the same tones i can in the standalone its really bumming me, considering the money spent on the program. id love to be able to actually take advantage of all it has to offer

Check out what it says for License Tier, in Settings>App Information. In your case it should say Professional. Most likely you need to log out and log back in again to read your license correctly.

I'm only just getting into this software malarkey and the prices are ridiculous ! Yeah you get a lot of effects etc for the money but the amount of money is a lot especially for young musicians whom this is clearly aimed at and usually are studying and not earning a lot of money . From my research of all the providers they are all high in price and I understand a lot of work goes into it but the prices are ridiculously high and would sell better at more reasonable prices . If it was more reasonably priced I would buy everything bias fx sells but for that reason il stick to the good old amp set up I have .

Man, do i feel ripped off! I expected Bias Amp/FX combo to be able to pull of metal tones, but, no I have to spend another $80 dollars, or if I want to have more access to pedal that are put into BIAS FX than I can pay another $240. This is the same as computer game manufactures nickel and diming players with MTX. Man I feel used :( I cannot fully describe my disgust at this.

I don't like Amplitube, Positive Grid. Endless signing in, user names passwords. I hate doing that. I use GarageBand in Snow Leopard with Kazrog thermionik plug ins. They work on OSX 10.6.8 and sound great! The new garageband on Sierra is No good neither is anything past Lion!
