Күн бұрын

This week on Inside Unreal we'll explore different volumetric effect options like volumetric fog, particles, and volumetric clouds. Technical Artist Asher Zhu will demonstrate how to sculpt believable clouds using volume textures and materials. We'll also learn how to create Editor Utility tools to enhance our art-directed workflows, and how to implement environment-aware Niagara systems with ease!

"i9 is low for Epic standard. Compiling the engine is so slow, it's painful" Pain is using a 6 year old i7 and waiting an hour just for starter project shaders to compile. Or all day to compile from source.
@AsherZhu
@AsherZhu 4 жыл бұрын
the painful part was supposed to be a joke :) compiling time within 1 hour is usually enough for us who don't frequently change engine code. btw if you ever decide to invest in a new machine, consider get a nvme SSD to go with the CPU. the difference in UE4 compiling time is huge with nvme SSD vs normal SSD.

pls choose the engines according to your projects i have made a mistake by not researching properly for example if you are making an open world project go for cryengine , if aiming for photorealistic small scenes with baked lighting go for example a room , furniture stuff go for ue4 and if for mobile or 2d games then unity is the option
