Also the reason why you sometimes have assists is if the piece thay is fighting has something protecting it like if the knight is defended by a bishop and you fight the knight the knight will have the bishop as the assist

1:01 actually, that kinda IS how it works. “chunking” is a memorization strategy that works because it’s easier to remember a set of things versus a bunch of things individually. by grouping 4 numbers (5 9 9 1) into 2 (59 91), you technically have fewer things to remember so your brain does a better job at it
