The ICGEB COVID-19+ and EXPANDIA projects aim to empower the genomic sequencing capabilities of laboratories in Sub-Saharan-Africa by transferring knowledge and technologies tailored to their operative contexts. Genomic surveillance is key for informing Public Health about circulating pathogens and their mutations allowing efficient prevention and management interventions.
