Your straight opinion about Thailand was very lovely. I love it not because nice compliments but showing the real things that everyone faced here. Thailand in fact is a developing country, hot and humid, sometimes some years extreme heat happened like the latest Summer in 2024 we knew many people from cold countries would be hard stressed in that uncomfortable climate but you always showed the good side of warmer climate such as swimming anytime here. The area along Chaind Klan Road is still being cleaned up and most hotels along there are closed for renovations, hopefully by the end of November things will have settled for the tourist season. Hi Lorna, This is Gabriel of Las Vegas, subscriber to your straight to the point You Tube channel. One of my concerns retiring (I have been retired for 7 years now) is the cost of Private Health Insurance in Thailand. Any info on this? I saw on the Internet that Thailand is rated #5 in the world compared to the USA at #38 to #40. I intend to rent a condo in the affluent part of Bangkok. BTW, I really, really like the speed when you speak. Some You Tubers talk at high speed that it is difficult to understand what they were saying. Also, adding text on your videos itemizing your info would definitely help. I'll be 70 in a few months (my neighbors told me I look like a teenager with no car insurance, LOL!) Will wait for your response. Thank yousss again for your assistance.

Hmm, thanks for the info. The wife, who is from Thailand, wants to probably move there since the Orange one came into power. Her Mom has a farm in Chang Mai, but we might move closer into the city. Reminds me of Mexico back in the day when it was affordable, and I LOVE the food.

The new ever changing visa requirements and costs have turned many people off, especially older non digital adults. You no longer are guaranteed of staying in Thailand long term. There is a good possibility you can stay only a maximum of 180 days for a hefty price and be forced to return to your home country to apply for a new visa that requires bank statements, police papers, health insurance and the like. Thailand now does not want long term guests unless financially secure and willing to pay for the visas.
