What an intriguing person Monica is, so diverse, sophisticated, and personable. Appreciate the lovely apartment tour. That building has to be one of the best in KL. Also, as a woman who frequently gets around without Hubby as an attachment, it was encouraging to hear of her comfort level while being out and about in KL. Good going, Taylor. Thank you.

@StarcraftWarcraftovich4 ай бұрын
@user-cn5ri5he4c Dubai is somewhat better due to the stronger expats community there, and it's certainly easier to reach Europe from this location. Malaysia is bound to everything else, and the Pacific Ocean is quite huge to cross if you want to go elsewhere, i.e.. in the U.S.

Nice that every room has a window. Difficult to find in high-rise apartments. Two issues - first being the kitchen sink on the left as soon as you enter the living space. Second being the view of the stool in the guest bath as soon as you open the front door providing the bathroom door is left open. Overall a lovely apartment with natural light coming from all directions.

Another friendly and very interesting video and what a lovely accomplished lady. I first found your videos just before lockdown after I'd visited KL and spent a couple of weeks in Penang where I met a single English lady whilst staying at the E&O who was grounded there due to illness. She had just started the application for a resident's visa but that all collapsed and rules changed as you know. Prior to my visit to Malaysia I had no idea that so many expats lived there from the US and Europe. I've stayed in touch with the English lady who is currently pursuing a residents visa in Sarawak. I wish that we'd 'found' Malaysia earlier in our travels but we became addicted to travelling in India and Africa. I have a huge amount of admiration for people who travel alone and relocate to other parts of the world. Making friends if you relocate within your own country is challenging. I really love your videos and the insight that you give into your life in the Far East.

@@valerietan2850 yes I am trying but dealing with Malaysia real estate agents is very trying. They send false photos , dont turn up, I signed a lease and then it was withdrawn 3 weeks after signing and 10 days before move in. I am away and a mate drove over an hour to inspection only to be told by phone when trying to find agent they did not have the key. This all happens if you are renting or buying Just hopeless and frustrating. In saying that Aus is no different. I just came back unannounced and people in my unit but still vacant online, the manager was renting out for cash to friends. Just cant trust anybody.😥

I agree with her. The economy is going strong on paper. Property & rent prices will go up and up. Meanwhile I highly doubt wages will go up by that much, certainly it wont match the housing price increase. That worries me. Rent is already ridiculously high for Malaysians right now. If it goes up even more, that will be terrible. There is recently a lot of public housing construction going on. Hopefully that will cushion the impact to some extent.
