I’m looking at retirement in Portugal on a pension. Looks like I’m going to get taxed heavy. Being taxed is fine but taxed half my pension isn’t sustainable. I’ll look at some of these options.

It's a good conversation, but (understandably) doesn't really dig into useable strategies. For example, if you're a retiree and put all your assets into a living trust, are you taxed on the annual performance of the entire portfolio, or just any distributions you take out for the tax year?
