That's going to be one beautiful condo and you folks deserve it. You've approached this wisely and stuck to your plan. You've been an inspiration to our own journey. We own our home in Portugal keeping our monthly expenses low. We bought in central Portugal so didn't pay a lot by big city standards. The sale of our home in the US provides a nest egg that should last the rest of our lives and made us debt free. With two social securities plus a small pension as income we are able to live extremely well on less than half of what we bring in each month. Financial freedom was out of our reach in the US. Now we get financial freedom and adventure. Thank you for all that you do!

Beautiful home. Very happy for you! My only suggestion would be investing in a small personal elevator instead of the stairs. Would add future value as well as guaranteeing that you could always access those rooms when climbing stairs is no longer an option.

No problem. Social Security, once you start drawing can be paid Worldwide by direct deposit. You can designate the account and once a month it's deposited.
