@@craiggallup5706 Ukraine is located near the very borders of the Russian Federation and carries a threat in the form of terrorism, fascism and the deployment of enemy troops on its territory, so Russia has every right to protect and protect itself. The West or anyone else has no right to tell Russia what can be done and what is not, what is right and what is not. Let me remind you that in 2003, the United States, under a far-fetched pretext, invaded Iraq. Then, at the United Nations, the US representative shook a test tube with a powder that was allegedly a sample of weapons of mass destruction. At that time, Ukraine, like a faithful dog, followed the owner, licking his shoes, and officially sent more than 1,000 soldiers to Iraq to defend the interests of the hegemon: to kill people and displace power. By the way, Russia already has the right to ask the Ukrainian Nazis, who are now in power in Ukraine, for fighting on the side of terrorists during the first and second Chechen conflicts and killing Russian soldiers. In December 1999, there were about 300 mercenaries from Ukraine in Grozny, some of whom fought in the First Chechen campaign. They were representatives of the organization "Ukrainian People's Assembly - Ukrainian People's Self-Defense" (UNA-UNSO)* who actively helped Dudaev with soldiers. Before the Second Chechen Campaign, the republic turned into a large bandit island. There were fewer mercenaries, primarily due to the actions of the Russian army. There were mainly Ukrainians, Lithuanians, and Latvians in the ranks of the militants. Secondly, Basayev and his company paid off the mercenaries with fake dollars that were printed in Urus-Martan. Another stumbling block is the contract. It stated that the militant receives money in case of evidence of the murder of a Russian soldier or officer. A participant in the Second Chechen Campaign says: "They said that in Ukraine, in the west, the anti-Russian movement has been very strongly developed since the 50s - the brains were brainwashed there almost in underground schools. They called the places near Rivne, I don't remember the exact names anymore. He said that both he and his family were very happy that he went to kill Russians." From the story of a marine soldier, a veteran of the 1st Chechen campaign, 61st Marine Regiment of the Northern Fleet: "Our marines faced Ukrainians in both the first and second Chechen wars. In the first Chechen war, the Vikings mocked Russian soldiers with more cruelty than the Arabs…And it was more dangerous to fight with them: for example, they could dress up in peacetime and lure soldiers into ambushes. Or they even posed as our (officers - approx.), wearing the appropriate uniform, and went to talk to "pencils" (young inexperienced conscripts) - "bred" to surrender weapons and captivity, and then killed without mercy." *"Ukrainian People's Assembly - Ukrainian People's Self-Defense" (UNA-UNSO)*-a terrorist organization banned in the territory of the Russian Federation Let me also remind you where the United States and the Europeans invaded, where they mercilessly killed everyone who came to hand. Although many of these countries were thousands of miles away from the United States and could not threaten security. Millions of civilians died in these attacks. List of states that were bombed/attacked by the United States after World War II Korea and China (1950-53) Guatemala (1954) Indonesia (1958) Cuba (1959-61) Guatemala (1960) Congo (1964) Laos (1964-73) Vietnam (1961-73) Cambodia (1969-70) Guatemala (1967-69) Grenada (1983) Lebanon (1983,1984) Libya (1986) El Salvador (1980s) Nicaragua (1980s) Iran (1987) Panama (1989) Iraq (1991) Kuwait (1991) Somalia (1993) Bosnia (1994, 1995) Sudan (1998) Afghanistan (1998) Yugoslavia (1999) Yemen (2002) Iraq (1991-2003) Iraq (2003-2015) Afghanistan (2001-2015) Pakistan (2007-2015) Somalia (2007, 2008, 2011) Yemen (2009, 2011) Libya (2011, 2015) Series (2014-2015) Let me remind you, no one chose the United States and NATO as the world's gendarme.

@archcunningham55798 ай бұрын
Yes , if Putin decrees they can no longer own guns, then they have to turn them in.
@ilyanizhnik68748 ай бұрын
Absolutely. The approach is very different. In Russia gun laws are all about hunting. That's the reason why you have to own two stages of simple hunting guns, getting yourself a hunting license and only then you get the right to own a rifle. And you as a civilian never get a right to have a handgun or an auto-rifle. They are not useful for hunting, but very useful for crimes. For people outside Murrica (those people exist) the initial right to carry a gun against other people sound weird (for me as well) and I wouldn't like to live in a country where any insane person without any gun-culture could carry a gun. You know, "popping and flopping ma glizzi prrrra-pa-pa". I know it's intended to be a protection of democracy - the mecanism when a nation can stand up against government, but it's unrealistic. Feds would always have more firepower. And it only makes problems in contacts with law enforcement. But hand guns with rubber bullets are allowed for a Russian citizen and their purpouse is not hunting - they are intended to use against people.

As a Canadian, I’m jealous of his rubber bullet handgun, we’re not allowed to defend ourselves with anything but our hands here in Canada, even pepper spray or a baseball bat are considered weapons when used in defence. We still have hunting rifles, but very limited clips for them, grandfathered in handguns must be stored and only used at gun range… so if you’re a criminal, you’d still be able to find all the illegal weapons on the street no problem, or gun ranges would be the place to go ‘shopping’ for handguns. Lol!

@KM-yw4xv8 ай бұрын
@@KathySarich In Russia, legally, it’s the same: if any object was used to cause bodily harm, it won’t matter much that it wasn’t a proper gun, for the legal consequences to follow. If it were a proper gun, it would only make the legal matters worse. We have very strict legislation regarding “exceeding the limits of necessary self-defense”. People go to jail for “unaliving”, like, home thieves or sometimes even if a potential threat to their health(life?) was really present - that’s a serious legal case for a criminal lawyer to prove that it was within proper self-defense. For example, a man was convicted for manslaughter when an extra-industrial-strength siren that he’d installed at home caused a fatal heart attack to a home thief.

Both the law and the practice about "limits of self-defence" are liducrous.

The statehood of Russia and the United States was built on completely different principles and in completely different social and historical conditions. Therefore, there is such a difference in relation to weapons. In Russia, a weapon is also a tool of a warrior, not an ordinary citizen. The Russian Cossacks, who defended the borders of the state from the raids of the inhabitants of the steppes and mountains, had a similar attitude to weapons, so they even slept there or plowed the land with weapons on their shoulders. All traditions have their roots in the country's past, but this does not mean that they are worse for someone, and better for someone. It is precisely because of its diversity that this world is beautiful, the main thing is that weapons should serve good, everything else is already a consequence.

Short info about gun laws in Russia: Ownership: 1) No standard handguns to own (only pistols with rubber bullets - so called trauma weapon) 2) No full-auto weapons 3) For first 2 years its possible to own only shotguns with mag capacity up to 2 rounds (so its basically double-barreled shotguns) 4) After 2 years of successfull ownership you are able to buy up to 10-round mag-capacity shotgun (well, smoothbored guns talking more precicesly, there are some AKs with special caliber which are also allowed) 5) After three-more years (5 total) of successfull ownership you can finally buy normal rifles. Still 10-round mag capacity restriction. 6) Amount of guns restriction: up to 5 shotguns + up to 5 rifles + up to 2 trauma handguns + up to 5 air rifles (with power more than 7.5J). If you need more, you have to get collectioner license 7) You can do reloading of rounds with the caliber of your guns 8) Handing your weapon to another person is forbidden. Not only giving, even handing 9) Owning a gun in Russia as a foreigner: you need to have permanent residence. Check SurvivalRussia channel. As i know Lars doesn't have Russian citizenship, but owns guns Shooting at gun club: 1) Possible to shoot normal handguns 2) Possible to use more than 10-round mags 3) Still no full-auto guns 4) At gun club 2/5 years restrictions are not applied 5) Not sure about handing your weapon to another person at gun club, but many of them allow that (well, close their eyes on that)

Guns aren't banned anywhere. In Europe you can own guns in any country, you just must have a license first. Which is common sense, because then some lunatic can't just walk into a store and buy a gun. If you're sane, don't have a criminal record and prove you're capable of owning one, you can have one, and people have loads of them. People in the US have this false idea that only they have guns and nobody else in the world does. Switzerland for example, which is a super peaceful country, has more civilians weapons per capita than USA for example.

@@derbigpr500 you have to pass federal background check in US. Outsiders think you can just walk into walmart and buy gun. No you NEED to pass background check before they sell to you. Very few LEGAL exceptions. Of course criminals buying on black market don't care one bit. They have ZERO restrictions. So restricting good people makes little sense.
@QualityPen8 ай бұрын
@@derbigpr500In the US only people who pass federal background checks can buy a gun at a store. Depending on the state, it is also possible to buy a gun privately without a background check. The reason some states don’t bother to make a background check mandatory for private party transfers is that it creates a red tape headache for law abiding citizens but criminals just ignore the restrictions. It’s unenforceable. I have a friend who is otherwise a law abiding citizen but bought a gun illegally via private transfer. Not to use in crime but because he just didn’t want to do all the paperwork and pay a couple hundred dollars for processing of the paperwork. Private party transfer background checks are unenforceable. European style restrictions on gun ownership would not work in America, it would lead to the same disaster as prohibition, just with guns instead of alcohol. We already see some small samples of this in places like Chicago and Detroit. Guns are very difficult to have legally there, but that does nothing to stop criminals from getting them illegally from the black market, and despite being some of the most anti-gun parts of the country, those cities have some of the highest homicide rates. When you have a responsible citizen with a gun for self-defense and a criminal with a gun for crime, and you pass a law to take away guns or prevent them from being accessible (ie: prohibition on concealed carry) then the responsible citizen is rendered defenseless and the criminal is still as dangerous as ever.

Is it that crazy of idea to sell guns only to responsible owners? By the way if you drive while drunk your gun license will be revoked, as it shows that you're not a responsible person. Rubber bullets are more than enough for self-defense, if you think it's just a plastic - no, at close range it's still painful to take a shot and it can break some bones and ribs. You're also not allowed to aim at the head even for self-defense situations. I personally like the idea that you can gradually upgrade your equipment instead of just buying AR from Walmart to solve your first amendment issues with the second one.

Rubber bullets are not enough for self-defense, I don’t care how much they hurt. Real bullets hurt more, I assure you, but that doesn’t stop criminals from taking multiple real bullets to go down all the time. Self-defense training in the United States with a handgun is to continue firing until the threat is stopped, and self-defense experts who study this for a living estimate that depending on shot placement it can take up to 5 rounds to the torso to take down an attacker quickly. A rubber gun isn’t much different from pepper spray, both being nonlethal devices which cannot easily stop a really determined attacker.

Not really. If you remove the black and Hispanic crime we are the same as Europe. More guns less crime. That works here. Biggest criminals and tyrants wear suits remember that. The right to bear arms in the USA was so that we the people could throw off a tyrannical government. The reason Japan never invaded the USA or even tried was because as the one officer stated. In America there is a rifle behind every blade of grass. Hitler was going to invade Switzerland. Him and his Generals discussed it and said they could take France in a six weeks with casualties around 10,000 or so. They said they would be in Switzerland for 5 years or maybe forever and lose 6 million men. So they invaded France. The United States has more guns in private hands than all the rifles owned by all the armies of the world. Just a fact. You were more unsafe for many decades from your own government. Mass executions and murder by the Russian government for many decades under Stalin. How many 10s of millions murdered by your government. Murdering their own people for no good reason. In the USA the areas with the most gun ownership has the lowest crime.

You know the comments are destroying me for that even though I don’t know about guns and only did what they told me. 😁 Once they said to keep the trigger clear I think I did.🤷♂️

I have a question for russians who might know. If you're say immigrating to russia from another country say america,if in that country you already own say a AR-15 or a bolt action rifle what are the limitations of importing those owned weapons into russia. Would you need to demonstrate competency on those weapons to bypass the law of starting out with the shotgun after passing the other prerequisites or is it not negotiable that you have to start out with the shotgun and aftee that time period of three years you can then import those owned foreign weapons?

I guess the process will looks like this: 1. You ask some of your friends to store your guns. 2 You come to Russia and receive the citizenship (have know idea how long it's take) 3. When you got Russian passport you ask for the licence and wait 5 years in line with the law - there is no way to receive your first rifle faster... 4. You ask for importation licence, but it will be not possible to bring the gun directly to Russia because of US embargo. It will be possible to import the gun via third country. In Russia you will need to certify your gun. Conclusion: at the end the price of the gun will be too high. So it's easier to sell the gun in US and buy in Russia...

@@JohnnyFirst thanks for answering my question.why is it illegal to possess a handgun when arguably shotguns and rifles are available in the same and in some cases bigger calibers?
@JohnnyFirst8 ай бұрын
@@Desert_Rogue_Tanker i guess it as question of concealed carry. We have a minimum length limitations for shotguns and rifles - barrel length min 50 cm, overall length is 80 sm. The gun with folding stock or have a long barrel or have a locking mechanism in the trigger and cannot shoot if folded. So it is complicated to carry the long gun is plan to do something... Pistol is small and easy to hide in the pocket for example. I guess the logic of this restriction is this. But the truth - the legal gun owners don't use their guns for crimes. And the bad guy don't care about any restrictions and will find the gun on the black market...
