So, I watched the whole video, (It was great) but didn't understand the title of it. She only mentions that the place where she lives can be a little boring at night. Not the country itself.

Ridiculous click-bait imo! Its very deceiving and spreads a very unfair/inaccurate image of Portugal which doesnt even reflect what the lovely lady had to say! So weird why you'd come up with that from such a positive interview!!

We had to quickly in as few characters as possible encapsulate why she unretired. As she told us, she got bored after a year. She wanted something to do. The title isn’t meant to be clickbait but it is meant to cause curiosity and tense and imply that there is a story for you to find out about. - Josh

@ExpatsEverywhere my plan is to make olive oil. We will still have the family farm to maintain. Also, my family has a vineyard and make wine. It's basically just on my grandma at this point and I want to continue that. So between learning how to do all that and actually doing it, I feel like that will keep me occupied enough. Plus I want to help out my village with things and be a productive member of it. I'm not too worried, I'm always getting into something!

Hi, welcome to the channel. Do you have Tri-Care insurance? If yes, we've had military friends tell us that it works. As far as it being good to relocate to Portugal, it's a really loaded question because we don't know enough about you to know if Portugal might fit you. If you'd like speak with Kalie, she's available for that. You can email her at info@expatsverywhere.com or book a call with her at www.calendly.com/expatseverywhere - Josh & Kalie

That’s because most of them can’t afford anything because of the low wages. Quite honest, the immigrants, specially Americans given their purchase power, are making life for them even harder as property prices exploded in cost, not to mention groceries and general cost of living. I’m not trying to judge anyone’s decisions or criticise the open borders, I don’t even live in Portugal (yet), buts that’s the reason. Government needs to find a way to promote active work force immigration as opposed to retirees. Lady is doing a good service by opening a cafe.
@gonebananas10768 күн бұрын
It's the immigrants fault for the price increases? The immigrants move for affordable cost of living and better quality of life. Maybe blame property managers, owners and corporations for increasing prices to make more money off those who may have a bit more, kind if like legalized extortion. I bet the immigrants with a few extra bucks wouldn't mind keeping it, but greed has jacked up the prices when they see an immigrant coming.

It’s funny being a Portuguese in America, I find Americans over optimistic, annoyingly so.
@philipe15026 күн бұрын
Imagine living in a country where American expats make 5x+ more than you, what drives prices through the roof. I'd be pessimistic as well with their salary in these conditions.

How would you title it, Ana? We don't feel it's misleading because a title and thumbnail are meant to go together and tell a story. A lot is covered in the interview and we feel like the title tells the story of why Jacci un-retired. - Josh
