We had roadside issues in rural Indiana. A DNR officer helped us by getting a local towing company that originally turned down our request and assisted in changing flat tire. Good Sam road assistance did not help us but on a Onstar was a great help and stayed online with us. The towing company sent bill to Good Sam road assistance who paid the flat tire change out bill. We had a jack set up just in case we did not get help. Suggest you get equipment to change yourself if you can’t get help. Glad it all worked out for you all.

Sorry for the misfortune, to start with don't get a 4 way lug wrench, get a dedicated 2' long breaking bar and short extension with a 6 point socket for your lug nuts, they will be tight then get one of the jack ramps where you pull one tire on it and it lifts the other one. Also get some safety cones to put out. 30 minutes and you'll be back on the road. Trailer Aid tire ramp is the one I have.

I’m sorry this happened I just went through hell like this and swore I would NEVER use my insurance roadside assistance. I was in a bad area crime wise and they assigned a tow truck and said it would arrive in 2 hours. They never arrived and I finally got ahold of Progressive insurance and they couldn’t reach the tow truck company. They assigned me another Tow company and after waiting another 3 hours they never showed up. It was 11pm and I called my insurance again and all they said was sorry and they didn’t have anyone else to assign and for me to leave my ride overnight with my keys!! Lol I was in a bad crime area of New Orleans. So I decided to call a tow truck company on my own and they were their within an hour. So next time I’ll call on my own and pay for it and submit a claim with my insurance after.

I felt your frustrations. We had the same problem in WA on HW 167 in the City. We called Good Salaams Roadside Assistance several different tow capacity meanies no show. We called AAA and no one would come out. We waited 6 hrs. State Patrol was needing is to move LOL. We have a Dully Truck and Camper and had to be towed as the tow company that did show up didn't have the right equipment. Then as the loaded it up on the flat bed they damaged our camper. We have Geico insurance and we had finally got someone to help us after a couple of weeks it was a horrible experience. Needless to say we got rid of Good Sam's they are the worst as they will only tell you to the nearest tire company or to the nearest mechanic shop. They were trying to tow us to a semi truck Freightliner auto shop it was a horrible experience they didn't even work on trucks are campers or RVs. We will never get Good Sam's. So just because you have roadside assistance doesn't mean that we're going to get any kind of help. It is unbelievable the RV experience when you break down. It is better if we can do the job ourselves so we are now more prepared than ever. I believe that you guys did a great job and taking care of it but I could feel your frustration and see ourselves in you as we had the same experience good luck in your endeavors. We appreciate your videos!
@AdventureBandits12 жыл бұрын
Wow!! So sorry to hear what you had to go through. I got rid of Good Sam's for the same reason. They only want to tow you to the nearby shop. We can't count on road side assistance. Because the insurance companies want to low ball them and not pay the rate that they charge . This is our first blow out. We never knew that it would be this hard to get help. If there is a next time we will be better prepared. I'm glad you are as well.

The same thing happened to me. I don’t have a camper but my suv broke down and I have roadside assistance and triple A and nobody wanted to come out to me. I had to walk to the nearest gas station 2 & a half miles away and get a tow truck. Cost me about 300.00 dollars but triple A did reimburse me minus the mileage. Hope everything is good now

@@AdventureBandits1 Good deal. You got that RV after that tree fell on your almost brand new one didn't you? How old are the tires on your RV? I've seen some KZbinrs have one blow out after another. If your tires are from China you might want to go ahead replace them all with a higher quality and higher weight rating. If you haven't already, I'd recommend you go to a truck stop and weigh your trailer and make sure the tires and axle are not overloaded. Last time we did ours it was only 13.00 for two weights( the second weight was with one side of the coach off the scale so we can figure each side of the axle weights. Y'all dodged a bullet when that tire blew and didn't damage that fender. Once you have your weights you should be able to find the correct weight/inflation chart for your tires. Both tires on each axle should be inflated to the psi needed for the heaviest side of that axle. (I'm not sure about a tandem axle RV like yours. Maybe they all should be the same (as the heaviest loaded wheel ). Safe travels. (Sorry for the run-on comment) Lol

You both never disappoint us. Great video! Nice clean park will put it on the list. I like how Ashante gives the stamp. DID Talmange give a review 🤔 too on the bathroom. You are so good together love the chemistry. Man I was cracking up when Ashante said you won't lose 🤣 her. Air Fryer on the list. Sorry about the blow out. Seems money talks in that town. I'm checking my roadside to ensure they will pay us back if needed. Crazy long wait but you both remained so cool. Great video. Safe travels AB's

I'm so glad you guys are safe and all worked out with that blowout. Nice video, I enjoyed the way you and Ashanti both focused on what you each enjoy about the park and the surrounding area. Sending love and light!

You need to go to harbor freight and buy a low profile hydraulic bottle jack and a 24" breaker bar and a 3/4" deep well socket. Always be prepared

I was at harbor freight today. 😁 I am ready for the next blow out. 😄 Hopefully there won't be another blow out. 😬

I had a set of west gate tires. I did relatively short trips for two years so I thought they past the test of time. I drove cross country with them this summer. In Amarillo the temperature was about 102-104. I had a blowout. I replaced that tire with a new one. 28 miles later another one blew out. I replaced the other 3. I monitored the temperature and pressure but it didn’t help on those extreme temperatures. Get good tires and avoid future headaches.

I recently purchased the Goodyear Endurance. I do not plan to take anymore chance with these tires. I have been through the same situation you have with my last rv. Not trying to do it again.

Hello bandits so happy that you guys are safe being on the highway is very scary We had experience that as well!! But thank you for a documenting that because that shows a lot of campers what could happen and also how hard it was for you guys to get help so that can prepare other people to be ready for something that may happen like that while camping!! Also let tallmadge no my husband don't drink but I drink enough for the both of us so I enjoy you guys's tours and wine tastings and the bourbon distilleries and him not being a drinker does not bother him at all because like you said it's about what you like to do 😊😊😊 stay awesome and be safe 😃😃😃

We went to Whispering Hills based off of your video last time you were there....and we LOVED it. We were on the pond, and had a great time in the pool. It is now one of my wife's favorite campgrounds here in Kentucky. BTW, if we ever see you all out, Talmage and I need to have a margarita mix off! Safe Travels!

I’ve been following you guys for a couple of weeks now and I enjoy your adventures. It’s awesome to see a black couple enjoying life together in such an adventurous way. Thank God you weren’t broke down to long, it’s no fun sitting on the side of a busy highway. Be careful and stay safe. God bless you both.

Well I’m looking forward to your video’s. I used to travel the roads in a tractor-trailer and I miss it alot, but I didn’t really didn’t get to see all the things I wanted to, my husband and I were always on a time schedule. But now that I’m medically retired I’ve been thinking of the prospect of getting a travel trailer( I just purchased a truck and need to be doing something with it. But I’m going to keep up with your videos because they’re very encouraging. And maybe one day I’ll run into you guys. Stay safe and God Bless!

Wow, that’s so sad. It’s sooo hot outside and they don’t care and lots of people just don’t want to work. We’re just glad y’all got it taken care of. Cudos to the man that came out to help. 👍🏼
