Expectation/ Results - A Kurzweil K2000 Musical Experiment

Using stock sounds from my Kurzweil K2000 synthesizer, a few random vocalizations, and any effects plugin I could get my hands on; I wanted to see if I could make a little music that didn't immediately scream Kurzweil(!), to anyone in-the-know. Did I cheat by using a lot of piano? Maybe.... ? But as usual, I got a little philosophical in the process, so turn on the CC if you want to read some brief thoughts about nothing. Honestly, this was just an excuse for me to play around; which I argue we all should be doing more of.
If the text is too small for you, you can change the CC size/options on KZbin by going to "settings" (the little gear icon), then "subtitles", and finally "options" in the top corner.
And also... let's start taking bets on how long it takes for some dude to mention the VAST system in the comments! Sorry guys, but you know this is going to happen. :)

Thinking about buying a K2000r tomorrow for $350. This is hauntingly beautiful. All done with the k2000?

All the sounds are just stock K2000 patches + some Ableton effects applied on top. Out-of-the-box I think it's kind of a "spacey" sounding synth, which I've always liked, but you can go in and make a lot of tweaks if you've got the patience. At least with the rack version you don't have to worry about the rubber melting onto your keys like mine did! :) Thanks for watching!

Having a Kurzweil and not mentioning VAST is like owning a Tesla and not mentioning that it’s electric…
