I have the answer for you, so many people at the Rome putin because people are sheep. There is 350 beatable miles in the Owyhee basin, but most people only boat down from Rome as a herd of sheep. Why did you pick to launch on the most crowded section when there is so much other available water with no people to contend with?

Access is the main reason right? To access those upper sections requires a lengthy, rough and potentially expensive shuttle. Much better instagram selfies could be taken in the upstream sections, no? Calling people sheep for going boating on the lower Owyhee? Hey, it leaves the upper sections less crowded for others then obviously, so why say insulting things like that? Good day

Yeah totally! It was a Nikon d5500. Nothing special. No light. The sky was overcast so it just was naturally good lighting (and lightning).

So many other creeks and forks of the owyhee up there to explore too. Im hoping to get out on the south fork next, then maybe a trip from duck valley, deep creek, day trip lap the nf, so much to do up there

There is a lot more canyon on the Middle Owyhee. Rome is the take for that section.
