Expedition 45/Visiting Crew Launches to the International Space Station

Expedition 45 Soyuz Commander Sergey Volkov of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and visiting crew members Andreas Mogensen of the European Space Agency (ESA) and Aidyn Aimbetov of the Kazakh Space Agency (Kazcosmos) launched on the Russian Soyuz TMA-18M spacecraft on Sept. 2, Kazakh time from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan bound for the International Space Station. Volkov will spend six months on the station while Mogensen and Aimbetov will be on board the station for just eight days. The footage also includes the crew’s pre-launch activities and post-launch interviews with Michael Suffredini, NASA ISS Program Manager; William Gerstenmaier, NASA Associate Administrator for Human Exploration and Operations; Jan Woerner, ESA Director General; and Esben Lunde Larsen, Minister for Higher Education and Science, Denmark.

Anyone mind describing to me what it is that they tie in a knot in their suits? I know it's a bladder of some sort, but that seems a little odd to rely on a knot to contain vital life support...Thanks :D

CRACK_LAG Not yet. The government(s) of the Earth countries don't have enough folks in space to start charging them tax - YET. Mark my words, as soon as there are enough folks out there, they'll figure out a way to draw borders and start charging tax.
