This week we are Installing an ‪@ExpeditionOneTV‬ Expedition One Rear Bumper on Project Rampage. We've been running this bumper for about six months and I love it! I really like the dual swing outs which enabe any arrangement of gear you want to dream up. For me I did order the MOAB bundle with a custom Pull-Pal and Hi-Lift Jack Bracket. We actually ended up using a Mount from ‪@grovefabworks‬ for my ‪@harborfreight‬ Badlands Jack

@@frankferber3225 A solo pull-pal mount would probably work, but I didn’t have room for the Hi-Lift Jack and Pull-Pal Combo mounting bracket.

Hey man great video. What made you choose this bumper over the rest? I need carrier like this but I am unsure if the gladiator will fit in the garage when this the tire on the back. If it is at all possible could you measure how far your bumper setup sticks out past the back of the tailgate? To its furthest point. I would like to have the exact set you did including the jack! Looks awesome man! Were able to get it on sale? I wasn’t looking for one until after the holiday when I blew out my 38” Patagonias sidewall. Bummer. @@lanemoyes9600 Lane, Thanks for watching. The latches are the cleanest looking and the metal is thick. The accessories mount flush with the back of the bumper. Total length is going to vary depending on your accessories. It’s either going to be your tires or a fuel/water can that sticks out the most. Fuel cans are about 15 inches. To Gauge it add 15 inches to the back of your tow hooks on the back. If you add a Trail bag onto your spare tire, you’re probably looking at needing about 2-2.5 feet. The Bumper weighs about 300lbs (Complete Pallet). 5 Gallon Water or Fuel Cans are about 45lbs each. Your Tire is also going to move further behind the Axle. With all that said. The Factory Rubicon/Jeep Springs are not going to be enough. My truck is already heavy, but the Rear bumper pushed my Clayton HD springs to the max, and I’ve added Airbags. I’m currently waiting on a set of Dobbinsons Highest Capacity Springs to come in (880-1210 lbs over stock) If you’re running mostly as a pickup I would suggest going with HD Springs (Clayton’s are triple rated up to 750lbs over stock) . If you’re going for a full overland build heavy tent, truck cap, and a bed full of gear; you’re going to want/need Heavier springs. You also don’t want to go too High of added payload or your truck might not ride the way you want when empty cruising around town. You’re also going to want an adjustable shock so you can tune in the ride to your liking. I run Rancho RS5000XLs and they’re a good shock with 9 levels of adjustments. Which way are you planning to go Overland or just a pickup?

@@StartBuildingYourDreamsthanks for the reply. I’m in Utah. I am doing about 60/40 overland/moab. I do have the 3.5” Clayton overland+ with the falcon 3.3. Dang, that is heavy if it overloading your springs if you have the same lift as me. I assume I have the same HD springs. I would have guessed that they would hold up the rear end considering that my back end it 2” higher than the front. I just talked to Clayton today and they are release long arms at the end of August. So 2.5’, I’ll have to measure and make sure I have the room. I’m also looking at the relentless fabrication bumper/ tire carries. The expedition one is appealing because they are local to Utah. I am going to get some 40” tires on order too. I have had bad luck with sidewall punctures on the Patagonia tires. 2 already! I think I’m going to try the Mickey Thompson Baja boss. I followed on insta as well!

@@lanemoyes9600 Good to hear about the Long Arm kit from Clayton! I’ve been waiting for them to release one. The Folks that run Mickey Thompsons seem pretty happy. I’ve never had a flat with my Load E 37” Toyos between my Ram 3500 and my Gladiator builds. Likely going to 40s soon too. Great chat and thanks for the comments!

Yeah, the Toyos are Even C…Load Capacity is there, but plys are less, unlike the 10plys I’m currently running 37x13.50R17s…
