Expedition to Keeripari Forest on account of Vana Mahotsav | Rojavanam International School

Students (IX and XI) from Rojavanam International School embarked on a meaningful expedition to Keeripari Forest on account of Vana Mahotsav.
Science Department organized this forest visit in honor of this occasion. Forest visit not only educate about biodiversity but also emphasize conservation efforts.
The activities during forest visit:

Visiting a watchtower in a forest can be a fantastic experience for students! It provides a panoramic view of the surroundings, allowing them to observe wildlife, different types of trees, and the overall ecosystem from a higher vantage point.
**Educational Insights:**
Guides or naturalists accompanying the walk can provide insights into the ecological significance of Keeriparai, its role in local biodiversity, and conservation efforts aimed at preserving this natural habitat.
**Interaction with Tribal people:**
Communicating with tribal people during a forest visit is a significant cultural and educational experience. Mr. Rajan belongs to tribal community who demonstrated the art of rubber tree tapping. It offers students the opportunity to learn firsthand about the indigenous knowledge, traditions, and lifestyle of the tribal communities who often have a deep connection with the forest environment.
