It’s All Gone Wrong | Overland Travel in South Africa | AFRICA XOVERLAND S6 EP1

Only 8 months from their return from the Nordic series the XOVERLAND trucks are stuck in port in South Africa. The team must work through the critical delays of the expedition. In addition, the entire Croft family is on the full, two-month expedition. The seasoned 9-member team is the biggest and best yet, and that's exactly what's needed to get through this incredible 10-part journey.
The Crofts (Clay, Rachelle, Cyrus -17, Ryder -15, and Eli -13) join Dr. Jon, Richard Giordano, Ashley Giordano ‪@DeskToGlory‬, and Peter Jr. VanStralen ‪@EFRT‬ on the ground. Local South African Christoff Eilard ‪@GetOutGO‬ takes the XO team in and shows them the ropes.
The three vehicles, Orion the ‘22 Toyota Tundra, Simba the ‘23 Toyota Sequoia, and Raven the ‘20 Toyota Tacoma are on the ground, stuck in port jail.

I've never been excited by Xoverland's videos, like other people seem to be. I just realised it's because they have such a different approach to overlanding. Not so much a meandering journey, more of a goal focused mission. It detracts from some of my favorite aspects of overland travel, but I imagine it's necessary to create videos of this production quality and to attract the sponsors they have. I just love your overland expeditions, your passion and dramatization of what you're doing and your attention to detail. We have also done a trip as a family with my professional mentor from South Africa through Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania through the Serengeti, to Mozambique, and back home. Felt nostalgic watching you guys with Christoff in our so to say backyard. Christoff and mates have shared so many wonderful episodes with South Africa and rest of world of their expeditions across Botswana / Namibia.
