nice review. luv the exterior and interior front. cargo area is a bit sad. cool on the built in air, but very sad it faces inward. how are you supposed to use it with drawers/fridge or any other cargo? would have loved mounts with accessory options instead of molded in cup holders for a missing 3rd row. get the raised bed, but unfortunate loss of height. still buying a standard engine offroad model after 3-4 year update that fixes some of the naggy stuff. really like 33's with no cutting!

And based on the tacoma prices, the 4runner will be 100 grand. Only people with an IQ lower than their shoe size pay that money for so little.

Post what you think the IQ of an individual needs to be for them to WILLINGLY purchase a 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro. Or for that matter, ANY 4th gen trim. To add perspective. My 2019 voodoo blue pro was 41k in late 2019 new.

The first part of your trail went through a region known as the Richtersveld, which is a truly incredible part of the world. It's a biodiversity hotspot with around 30% of the plant species being endemic to that region. Next time you can consider going slightly further North into the Richtersveld National Park - the scenes there are truly spectacular, and it's accessible to 4WD vehicles only.

Toyota missed the mark with this one. The Tacoma TRD Pro is $63,900 while the Colorado ZR2 and Ranger Raptor undercut that price at $46,800 and $55,470 while both being even more capable and having more wheel travel than the TRD Pro. Why would I even consider the Tacoma? XOverland, if you have a suggestion as to why, I would in all seriousness be curious.

Hi guys, this is exciting. What I would like to know is whether the car/truck needs to modified before one venture in to such a trip.

Hi there! In the case of the routes that we took on this adventure, we wouldn't have been able to complete the trip without certain modifications. However, we always say that you have to #startsomewhere - picking routes that fit the capability of your vehicle is smart! Having a fully built out truck isn't always the ticket to great adventures. Hope that helps!

He seems pretty smart and a good engineer, but highly doubt he would fit in the back seat of the Taco, honestly it’s worst aspect, imho. 😅. The more I see it, seems like a total rushed afterthought.
