I used to be into RC cars a long time ago, as far as brushless motors you are thinking of a non sensored motor. If you get a brushless motor with the sensor wire too and hook that up to a ESC capable of controlling it you’ll have just as much control as a brushed motor. My favourite was the roc 412. I do full size rock crawling now but RC’s were a good time for sure
