Culture & Wildness of Iceland's Flatey Island

Iceland seems to be full of wonderful people and is a very interesting to go there and observe.. My mothers grandparents came to Canada from Iceland well over a hundred years ago when one volcano , around 1880 erupted a number of times in one year and people had to leave because they could not breath the polluted air that existed in several areas of Iceland. Canada invited them to come to Lake Winnipeg to create a colony home for themselves around the lake. Winnipeg......and on and on......now here I am !

This is such a special place and really is like stepping back in time. I have taken some wonderful photos here - one of my favourite places to photograph wildlife.
