I'd absolutely agree with you about the oatmeal cookies. They need that oatmeal and spice flavouring. Some cinnamon, some nutmeg, molasses from the brown sugar. That's what makes an oatmeal cookie delicious.

I came up with an oatmeal cookie recipe that included coffee and chocolate. Other variations were glazed pecan and white chocolate, chai, key lime, and chocolate macaroon. I never used raisins- there are so many other yummy things to add!

I use Maman's oatmeal raisin recipe and its very spice heavy. Its decadent and I swapped in choc chips once and it was like a chai spiced chocolate. So good

I also put spices in my oatmeal cookies! I used my great-grandmother's recipe, which includes cinnamon, vanilla, coconut, pecans, raisins, brown sugar, and all the other basics for cookies. 😆 The dough on the Levain ones looks so light compared to the dough I make! Loved this video, btw! I'd probably never order these myself, but might try some copycat recipes in the future.

Your review is spot-on. I had them at their new Chicago location last month. I wouldn’t say they were the best cookies because they lacked something. I wouldn’t turn them away if got it for free but I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase them.

I suspect that the Monday delivery is more expensive because they have to put cold packs in the box because there are no deliveries on Sunday (maybe Saturday as well). If there were cold packs in the box you received, then there are probably *extra* cold packs or *better* (i.e., more expensive) cold packs to carry over for the extra day(s).

They have a store in Boston and my sister and I had to try some. We got the caramel, coconut, chocolate chip and their lemon cookie. We love the coconut one and wished the lemon had more lemon flavor. Super delicious, but definitely a once in a while treat.

As soon as I clicked on your video and saw it was the cookies you’ve been waiting to try, I immediately searched up the website to see how to get them lol After seeing the prices o decided to watch your video before even thinking of purchasing such an expensive cookies lol Although you do seem to love them all to varying degrees I don’t think I’ll invest that much money in a cookie that I can find the recipe for online and give it a try myself. I think I’d definitely add a few more spices to the oatmeal cookie like I do mine. The trick is to use the dark brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. The dough needs to have flavour too. I love your descriptions of the flavours and textures so much. You are such a delight to watch and listen to. Don’t even change my dear. You and your channel keep me sane most days ❤

When I won a trip to NY several years ago, I had a list of places I wanted to go - 9/11 memorial, Little Italy, Statue of Liberty and Levain! I too had been dreaming about them for years. I got the chocolate chip walnut, dark choc PB and the dark choc choc chip. It was really close between the dark choc choc and the chip w walnut for first with me.
