I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS! YYYEEEEAAAA BOOOIIIIIIIIIII!

One thing though, this kit as stated is able to go from 90-98mm. Do you still need the wide rear arms, or does the kit make it wider?
@sammybaka Жыл бұрын
Thank you. The dws keeps the rear narrow, so it uses the same standard length 8mm cvd. I've seen additional parts that can be bought to make the suspension arms wide, which would mean long cvd. However, most mini-z uses narrow rear.

Can you use wide tires to make it a wider car without the longer arms?
@sammybaka Жыл бұрын
@@DudeWiththeClue Yes. Mini-z in general keeps the rear narrow to allow for wide wheels. Standard mini-z wide rims are 11mm, while narrow rims are 8.5mm.

I feel like a lot of Mini-z owners are just going to spend the money to upgrade the suspension just out of their own OCD with the rear binding. Would love to know what the weight increase is.

You just described me. I'd been eyeing this for so long that i just had to have it once i saw a good deal. I'm out of town now but i will report back on the weight difference as soon as i can.

what part number for this body?? and is your setup wide or narrow ?
@sammybaka3 ай бұрын
This is the MZP243BL. The ma020 in this photo has a wide front and 98mm wheel base. Rear is the regular narrow width.

I need ma01 front chasis, its broken because some unlucky hits while drifting and out of stock. Any solution advices?.

The MA-010 chassis might be difficult to source these days. I tried looking now but I didn't find any. Can you save it with some CA glue?
@alpsahinoglu Жыл бұрын
@@sammybaka Some inner screw hole parts are broken into very small pieces. It still works but the steering glitches on left side. I have not dissemmbled it for a long time, but probably i have lost that piece. I will open it again today.

I'm swapping my MA010 electronics into an MA020 chassis right now because the weak clear plastic of the MA010 breaks over time and mine was ruined. I've had to buy these parts since the front suspension setup is different: MD201, MD202 (actually got MD202B, not sure what the difference is), MD203, MD204. A few little plastic bits need to be transferred over from the MA010 chassis to hold in the On/Off switch, steering servo arm, main board cover etc. I think you can also get the MD201SP chassis which has gold contacts as a small upgrade.

This sounds like a good plan. By the way, Kyosho appends "B" to their part number when they update MSRP. it's the same part.

@@sammybakaAhh that's good to know, thanks. Managed to get it all swapped over despite how fiddly it is, always certain I'm going to snap the solder connections on those tiny wires, but it's running like a dream again!

So many better models now compared to mini z sold most of my fleet, goodluck.
@sammybaka Жыл бұрын
That's for sure. When I go to the track I take my reflex and GL cars. Somehow though I still have a soft spot for mini-z. I find it very fun to work on.
