Good review as usual Andy always enjoy them. Blimey Iceland sure knows how to charge for their stuff. I certainly won't be buying these £4.00 for two in Aldi's you can get 4 of their mega burgers for £3.99 i know which ones i will buy.

I thought America was bad with calorie overload,but the UK has got us beat, burgers in batter,candy bars,pizza,and seems like battered fish is all anyone wonts.I watched someone shopping in Tesco,and I couldn’t believe all the refrigerators,and freezers,we don’t have that,Our refrigerators have milk products,eggs,and juices,and in some neighborhoods tortillas.Most supermarkets have just one freezer isle,which has all the ice creams,frozen cakes,frozen fruits,and a small amount of dinners,compared to your supermarkets.You have no idea how much it upsets me to see what my fellow Brits are now eating,to what we ate when I was growing up.

It has changed massively, most things you buy in shops now are highly processed foods pumped full of chemicals and preservatives, this what I was saying only the other day to someone that I believe that’s why there’s so much cancer around, you never heard about it years because everyone cooked at home with natural ingredients, milk lasted two days of you were lucky now it’s two weeks same as bread and other ingredients, you can go into a chip shop and get anything you want deep fried, Mars bars, cream eggs any chocolate bars etc, ready meals started to appear around 1990, I worked as a forklift driver for the co-op factory in Lowestoft for around 12 years and I remember when they first launched them, it was designed for families who were to busy to cook a meal when they came home from work and basically it’s just gone from there, not good really when you look at it. I miss the old days 👍🏻

Andy, have you ever thought of investing in some asbestos gloves and an asbestos mouth liner? I've had a battered burger from a chippy and they were bloody lovely but I can't really say as I fancy a battered cheese burger.

Mate, I'm on the fence on this one. Inflation and all, it's going to hard to beat 2 quid burger. Even if you make it yourself you'll average out around the same I recoken. If the taste is mediocre then I'm with you, pass. I think you pair this burgers with them chips you bought the other day and you got yourself a nice meal. Cheap as chips!

I like the idea, it sounds tasty but 350g isn't enough food for 4 quid. An average man would destroy those burgers as a snack in minutes. Not worth 4 quid at all.

you can get the burger with cheese xl mac burgers gareth reviewed has over 450g in them fir £4 and there still not worth it. you are getting less meat due to the weight of the batter which costs less

Is it that there is loads of gimmicks in Iceland wait Gareth just did some that are the some xl mac burgers without batter for £4 .. same thing really the thing comes is that because there thick they take longer to cook. so what is really the point. but with out the batter you are getting less meat because of the thick batter. your paying a lot for items that are not meat and are far cheaper to add. Get mince and make own less additives. and cheaper. aldi mince less fat level a slice of cheese. and just put some batter on if you really want it. really £4 is a bit much for the amount of meat vs the weight of the batter and cheese I can get for the price 400g steak from Morissons for £3.50 in the fridge for less. far less fat no additives. when you said what price i said £2.50 and then you said it. for what you are getting cant see the value at £4.
