One thing I learned from performance coils is they really don't make a huge difference on fuel injected. The main reason carbureted vehicles benefit so much from better ignition coils is because their carburetion is heavily emissions spec and full of other fuel/air compromises that make carburetion far less than perfect. What a high output coil does in these cases is compensate by its superior ability to ignite less than perfect mixtures. Better ignition coils make up for poorer carburetion.

Hello Brother. I’m sorry coz this may be slightly different mode of transportation as i’m driving a car. I got my a 2008 mitsubishi lancer GLX (CS3), equipped with a 1.6L Naturally Aspirated engine (4G18), couples with a automation CVT gearbox. I have found myself some perfomance thicker wires and ignition coils online. And it was proven by another consumer that the outcome was a good change.. response and pick-up to speed was significantly better than it was before... any advice on whether i should proceed with the mod or should i just stick to stock?
@everydayirace6 жыл бұрын
If it was proven that the outcome was a good change, and if that change is worth the cost to you, you should get them. If the cost isn't worth it to you, you should stay with oem.
@zaki28096 жыл бұрын
EVERY DAY I RACE hmm. Do you believe that more pickup power equals to higher fuel consumption? Because i was told that if i were to go for the Performance Ignition Coils and the Performance Wires done, i’ll receive enhanced car performance, and the life span of the coils will be able to withstand slightly bit longer than stock ignition coils. How can you advise on that take?
@everydayirace6 жыл бұрын
if you had a car with a boosted engine running 45+ psi and experiencing spark blow out, i would say go for it. The best way to decrease fuel consumption is to change the way you drive, it cost no money and you'll be able to measure the gains.
@brandoncart79015 жыл бұрын
Imo more efficient fuel combustion results in better performance and fuel consumption. If a coil can combust fuel more efficiently then it should require less fuel for the same result

Hi. I like to ask if anybody knows to give me an answer to this! The Aftermarket coils are claiming that their coil power is 40-45.000 Volts. The aftermarket companies also claiming that the manufacturer coils are 20-25.000 Volts. By measuring your way the Ohm we find the Primary Resistance is about 35% higher and the Secondary almost 50% higher to this specific coils. Having those two measures in hand, anybody can tell me WHAT can be the difference in %, in Volts? Also IF we can find the Actual Volt of ANY coil IF we have those two measures on hand? Thanks.

@@everydayirace I found some voltmeters measuring up to 40.000 volts for about $100. Say we measure the Primary and Secondary Ohms in the two coils as you did. Is any math type and can we say or find that the Performance coil is 20% or 30% better than the OEM? Thanks. Emmanuel
@everydayirace5 жыл бұрын
@@AutoproGreece I don't have a voltmeter like that nor did I ever tried to find one, so my answer would be I don't know. But what I am wondering is why you calling coils better? There is a coil for every application, more volts doesn't equal more power from the engine, meaning if you put 200000000 volt coil in an engine that doesn't suffer from misfire with a stock coil, you'll get 0 gains from installing that 2000000000 v ignition coil.
