I wish the tiller versions of the 1675 and 1875 had a better surface to mount electronics. There doesn’t look to be much room behind the rod locker.

Agreed. I would consider mounting it in front of the right side rod locker.

We appreciate that feedback! You should be able to fit one screen up to 10 inches.

I have a 2008 Alaskan SS with a 90 Optimax. Bought it new and it has been a fantastic boat. Quick question for any Lund personnel. Will a group 31 size battery fit in the bilge area where my current group 24 crank battery resides? Many thanks.

glad to hear you're enjoying your Alaskan! We would recommend reaching out to your dealer for your battery question. They are going to have a better idea of what the exact size of the battery and compartment are.

Beautiful boats! How do you get an ATV in there??

Great boats until you try a warranty claim. Good luck with that.

Finally wood free! Still a bit pricey; although, we are in the Biden era.

6 person capacity. Really does lund really think you have 6x people that are 100lbs each. Lifetime warranty per fine print is to original buyer Looking at older Alaskans new ones cost more than a used car

@@omieyouknowme My boat says it rated for 7 people, but the only way 7 people will ever be on my boat is in a rescue mission. As for the warranty, my dealer gave me 7 years, and I THINK they told me it was transferable. I can't be 100 on that, but I'm pretty sure that was the case. Also, I don't plan on using my warranty unless it's for the engine or I get a crack in my hull.

@@hulkhuggett if you read capacity tag it will say 7 people or 850lbs which ever gets you to 850lbs first. Dealer warranty for 7 years is impressive considering motor warranty is usually 3-5 years only. I would ask them what do they cover after 5 years of motor warranty. The hull warranties are for hull not for the upper accessories or wooden deck. Read fine print

@@omieyouknowme I bought the 2070 with no wood in it. I also opted out of any accessories and installed my own. All I'm worried about is internal engine issues or welds breaking. Other than that I'm not bringing my boat to sit for a month to a dealership for an overflow hose, bilge pump, etc. And yeah, the tag is People or Weight, but it also has a diagram of where people should sit if you take however many people it says it's rated for. I'm pretty sure the seating capacity is also Coast Guard regulated. However, when they were using wood in the decks, they would SUPPOSEDLY warranty the decks and transom if they rotted, while still under warranty. Most manufacturers claim that, as well.
