Best part of this weekend was my 11 years old son made his own toy in a toy factory, Bharat Art & Crafts, which is inside the Channapatna Crafts Park. One short clip of my son making his wooden toy is included in this video. My son made his own wooden toy, from shaping, coloring and polishing, using a machine, tools and other raw materials.
We loved this toy factory where the staffs were so welcoming, helpful in providing us a guided tour of the factory and the processes and finally allowing our son, who was already excited after seeing the machines, tools and toy making that was going on, to make his own toy. They charge a very nominal fee (with Proper Invoice) for the tour and experience which is trivial as against the experience we got.
My son wants to go there again which we will very soon.
