Stayed on Skaneateles Lake in 1987 for my honeymoon, such a beautiful area! Was there in August, the water was VERY cold but clear and beautiful. We were in my 1969 Maserati Ghibli, the wife and car are now both gone. I now live in the lakes region of New Hampshire, beautiful backroads here, I have a '16 Mazda MX5 as my primary, a Jaguar XJ8 and a Jaguar 3.0 F-Type as alternates.

Right in our back yard! You visited more interesting places in a single tour than most locals get to in a decade. Good selection. We're staying at the Seneca Lodge for both the SVRA weekend and the Grand Prix Festival weekend (Aug 25 and Sep 5 respectively) with the MG Car Club of Western New York Centre. It's always a lovely drive from Rochester to Watkins Glen, so many different routes with similar ETAs and fun twists and turns
